What happened was game urinalist started rating absolute bottom of the barrel with a 7 to maintain access to publisher. So the bottom of the barrel is 7. Average is 8, decent is 9 and 10 is a must play. Anything below 7 is just poor excuse for a game because even these game urinalists can’t give it a higher score it’s so bad.
Unfortunately it is likely because of two things, money and time. Because of the economy some may not have the money or because they need more money they have to work more which leaves less time for other things. The gaming community is getting older and now unless the game is almost guaranteed to be good they just don’t have the time or money anymore.
Agreed. A 7 isn’t a failing grade. It's more of a "you did good, but you can do better." It’s the equivalent of a C+ or B-. Everyone is acting like strict parents and if a game gets below an A, it’s a disappointment.
