  1. People get too hung up on scores. I like game reviews because it's interesting to read different people's takes on a game. They're not required to agree with me.

  2. After roughly 17 hrs and 4 of 9 chapters, for me, this is the new Seiken Densetsu game I was waiting for. If you liked Trials of Mana, I'm 99% sure you will enjoy this.

  3. The switch would have sold the most copies and would have at least doubled sales figures

  4. the gameplay feels kind of similar to genshin/wuwa (modern gacha game in general) tbh. not 100%, but it doesnt feel fresh or exhilarating anymore when playing these type of games, for me at least.

  5. I like how that kid with the curly hair wears shirt exposing his bare stomach. I think these developers are trying to outdo genshin impact's femboy characters. Bought this game on launch since I love the Mana series. My bet is this gets ported to switch 2. These games were born to be on nintendo's platform.

  6. I don't rely on reviews from others to determine if I like something but I always want to know what they think.

  7. The gamespot review is totally gibberish. A game of 5/10 means it has major performance issues or it has awful gameplay. Neither is the case for VoM. VoM definitely has great RPG gameplays. This game is a solid 8/10, and since I like the music and characters, my personal rating is 9.

  8. I started the game today and i'm eight hours in (didn't leave "the first port" yet). I think it's cute, refreshing and not too complicated (but there are 4 levels of difficulty). Many many side quests (that, for the most of them, you don't HAVE to do – but if you do, you'll get a lot of rewards) and a clear story with a few twists here and there. It's exactly what i expected : an RPG, with a lot of cute animals, and with the possibility to grind A LOT (hidden coins, coffers EVERYWHERE). Even from the beginning, you have access to regions that you know you will come back to (with specific places where the ennemies are level 51… and you are level 3, 4 or 5). There are a ton of things you know you will be coming back to (magical rocks, closed temples, etc. which you run in front of from the very start, and can't use yet)… All in all, i'm very satisfied because it's exactly what i thought it would be… ☺

  9. There really is too much coming out for me to get this right now but I 100% will be copping and playing it at some point.

  10. Have 35 hour in The game now. And i enjoy it. And like The story. Would have given it a score of 86

  11. Something Visions of Mana did right was nail its vibe and presentation, makes it smooth to play, good customization. Its just solid as hell

  12. Might he a bit picky but I won't be able to invest so many hours when the main character looks so much like a girl when spoke to be a boy

  13. I always try New Game+, but usually after a couple hours I just can’t do it. It’s nice that it’s available though

  14. This game looks like a ton of fun. Gonna wait for it to come to a Nintendo Console though.
Edit: It's crazy that a 5/10 is basically a bad review. In my mind that means the game is average. I guess if they are looking at it look they are still in high school then ok 9 or above is an A, 8=B, 7=C, etc then it makes sense.

  15. I accidentally ordered 2 and can’t cancel one of them. I’m about to sell it to a friend. I did this b4 and gave him the other double order which was Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. Always check your orders folks. 🤦🏽‍♂️😂

  16. Don’t forget that the developers publicly stated that they won’t be catering to western sensibilities for this game. They just wanted to make a fun entry to the Mana series. That’s likely why some of these western reviewers are giving it bad reviews…

  17. I know we need games reviewers but as we all know someone's trash is another person's treasure. I sometimes think people want COD action in every game. I'm happy to relax and let a game and story envelope me, just my thoughts.

  18. I would bet the person complaining about the backtracking was not paid enough by the publisher or was paid by one of those woke peddling shakedown companies (the director of the game went out of his way to say not to pander to westerners which is probably saying he declined to pay a company like Sweet Baby for their "consulting"). This is literally true of so many 10/10 games, every Metrodivania, every open world game. And this game has VERY generous fast travel compared to other similar games. Even within a town you can fast travel to the shops of your choice if you wish.

  19. I like what I see, any Mana entry I should try on the Switch? I’m new to these games. Thank you

  20. Game stop guy review was depressing to the point where it got me and made me rething getting the game💀😂😊

  21. I don't read journalists, I only watch vids of journalist that actually like to game like "Mortismal Gaming"
Avoid IGN after their wukong review, Its a Paid review company that work with developers to sway their "Review",

  22. This is not for everyone. It’s not life changing, and it’s not cutting edge. It’s is however made for people who know and love mana. Remember when we used to play games for fun???

  23. What I think some of the critics misunderstood is that man is a lighthearted Saturday morning game not the next metal gear.

I liked trials more combat wise but I love the vibe

  24. I’m playing it right now. It’s 9/10 at least. I got the vibe like I’m playing a Mario action RPG. I don’t like the demo, but the game actually pulled me in from the first minute. I highly doubt the journalists actually played the game, they might try the demo then put the article up.

  25. I agree with the gamespot 5/10 review. They backed up their points and what they said was true. I am still offended at how atrociously bad the writing and "acting" in this game is. JRPG fans need to have some dignity here. The storytelling in Visions is insultingly lazy and low talent.

  26. It's just a good old classic jrpg. 8-8.5/10 for me. Could do with being a tenner less expensive though. I don't trust any mainstream game journalist outlets in any event. Ign gave duskborn and concorde 7 and wukong 8, so reviews like theirs are basically invalid/non-admissable for anyone not entrenched in radical left politics.

  27. Got my copy yesterday from Amazon I picked the PS5 version over PC because I wanted a Physical copy though I might get a switch 2 version if it comes out in the future.

  28. Gamespot is woke trash nowadays, and if you search for a OBJECTIVE review Gamespot is the wrong address. Visions of Mana plays like Trials of Mana, and that one was great. Apart from maybe some bosses where the AI is too dumb to evade aoe attacks.

  29. Maybe the "Journos" are mad that it doesn't feature DEI Slop? After all, we just seen how they tried to desperately bury Black Myth Wukong due to the Devs at GameScience telling the Wokies to go eat dirt and pound sand. The Woke "Journos" went on the Attack with low Review Scores.

  30. Wild how this gams drops. Generally favorable. Making good money. And yet netease kills the studio

  31. About 5 or 6 years ago, I got into the Atelier series, so I'm definitely gonna be late to the party with the Vision franchise.
