A lot of great games but you forget Stalker 2 November 2024 that looks awesome and may be the king in FPS graphics and gameplay but great video anyway.
Why have we not progressed in making video games? I've literally not bought a game in years apart from Last of Us. I thought we would've had much sicker games by now with much better visuals. It seems to be Rockstar again who'll have to raise the bar AGAIN with GTA

I've said it many time and I'll say it again. People who make games today just aren't smart enough to make great games. End of story. They're just not as intelligent or as creative as people who used to make games 10 or 15 years ago. The tools needed to make a game back then were harder to use and required more skill. That's why only truly talented and skilled people took on making games. Today anyone can download a powerful tool and make a game that looks great. But isn't great in any other way. There are very, very few exceptions to this rule today, that's why there are very, very few good games being released, and I can't remember the last truly great game after let's say RDR2, which was 6 years ago, and Witcher 3 and DLC's before that, which was more than 8 years ago. No truly great and epic game came out after that.
I guess 40 is too old for video games, these all look like total crap
