You know what…..I think that is EXACTLY what is going to happen. a 6 month delay for the original plans pertaining to the Switch successor. If it was supposed to "launch holiday 2024" then it will be sometime after June with a January/February announcement. I believe that makes way more sense given the current rumors about messages to developers and what they should prepare for. I predict a late summer launch and a first quarter 2025 full showcase for the new hardware. MAYBE there will be a n announcement video for the hardware before that, but it will fall in line with what they did with the Switch. They announced it and then went on a massive campaign to show it off to the world. We don't even have the codename for this thing yet. That has to come first.

During the last direct, Nintendo said there would be no discussion on switch 2. This will be the only tjme they have to say this. There will not be anymore first party directs flr the switch, its over. The showing of 2025 games jn the last direct to me, prove no September switch direct.
The next mainline direct will be a switch 2 reveal.
Would be hilarious if Nintendo drops the bomb that Switch 2 releases this Holiday lol.

All of the Gen1 Switches will have a use-case for the new platform, that being the ability to pair them to the next-gen base/dock as a second-screen controller (up to 4 at once). That's why they are still selling new SKUs so close to gen2 announcement and holiday season. They are not risking burning their sales. They are amplifying them.
