  1. I hope this one is more internally consistent than the first one. The first one traded logic or cohesiveness for an allegory, which is fine if you enjoy that but personally I hate movies that don't have a consistent logic.

  2. well as indonesian, it pokes my curiosity as why they use/pick some words (because too many to be called coincidences to consider them puns)

goreng, whose the main character in the original movie means verb for 'frying' in the cooking process. trimagasi which actually written 'terima kasih' in the standard form, means "thank you" in english. while imoguiri, i just suspected that it derives from some grave site in yogyakarta, imogiri. i don't remember much but i guess there's another side character that has name that derives from food name

now in this sequel, one of the residents named "dagin babi" which directly translated to "pork/swine" in indonesian

those are all actually words that had correlation when you are having meal

  3. I definitely got a lot of religious undertones from the first film. Economical class distribution tied into capitalism as well. Also purgatory and gluttony in the mix. A lot of themes to think about.
I hope in the this film they tie up the religious undertones, because in the first it felt too ambiguous. But nonetheless I am excited for this film!
Snowpiercer (movie) reminds me of a tame version of this genre.

  4. How did this get a second movie??😂😂 the first one wasn’t bad but I’m just surprised
