The Steam Deck OLED and ROG Ally have only improved sinch launch. But how are they holding up against current consoles like the PS5 after 6 months of daily use? Here is my experience so far.

  1. Currently a desktop pc gamer and need to prepare for daddy gamer life 😀 This video helps a lot!

  2. You did not cover Moonlight, bringing the power of your PC onto your handheld console when at home. That's major imo.

  3. I think that the future of gaming is portability for total freedom, and dock mode for power-up. Imagine these actual handhelds put to their dock which contains a powerful GPU which can go 4K. The dream is near…

  4. Can’t play college football 25 on a PC amongst other things that’s why I have a steamdeck and a PS5 with a portal.

  5. Look you've run over this entire list but you don't even have freaking tags or anything in your video it's 2024, Take an extra five minutes put tags in your video you're going to thumbs down for me.

  6. I bought PS5 and returned it in 6 days, not to mention the wait on subscription refund. 😑

  7. I just bought another Steam Deck. Sold my original one but realized it was very convenient. I work in IT and spend most of the day sitting around waiting for helpdesk tickets to generate. The Steam Deck gives me something to do while waiting around at my desk or when I'm on lunch break. It's also good to have at home. I'm able to kick back on the couch or lay in bed while gaming. Better than always being chained to a chair.

  8. hey random question im thinking about getting a steam deck and im looking for more games to get for it could anyone tell me the game name at 1:00

  9. Great insight, very informative and I appreciate how you go into all of the various platforms. Well made video indeed.

  10. What kind of bag did you put that charger in? Great video, thank you for all the insights!

  11. This vs video is really weird. Why are we comparing a home console to something we can take out of the house with us and play outside? Its like comparing apples with oranges. You might as well compare pc vs console (which would actually make sense).
If you want to handheld ps5 you need a ps portal. If you want a comparison to ps5, you have pc. Not this.

  12. Hey yoyo, Series S where? You talk about PS5 but Series S can run new games as well as old games too. FPS boost in X360 games is a must and PS5 has much worse BC compared to Series S. You can still add emulators to Series S as well and play PS1 and PS2 game on Xbox natively. Also games like Destiny 2 require PS plus to play online while on Xbox they dont. You can get small screen you can add to Series S too and make it sort of portable. For me Steam Deck Oled is a big win but Series S should be always considered.

  13. All I have is a Nintendo Switch and a gaming PC, I'm looking at the ROG Ally X as a third combo. 😌

  14. Got an OG Steam Deck I'm about to gift to a nephew and an OLED Deck. Looking into getting the biggest and beefiest Windows handheld for modded games and am eyeing the Legion Go or AyaNeo Kun, though I could also wait a few months for the inevitable next round of handhelds. This market is flooded right now.

  15. I have sold my Ps5 and picked up a Meta quest 3 for a change of how to play. I’m looking for a handheld, more of an emulator I think!! Any suggestions please! Thanks 😊

  16. Been on the edge of buying deck oled and finally did few weeks ago.. I couldn't be happier! Played almost 4days worth of minecraft and solid 20+ hours of ghosts of tsushima!

"I don't want to sit in front of my desk I've being doing my work the whole day" this sums it up for me perfectly!

I do have Xbox X as well and I've been playing that for over 6 months but then I got razer kishi v2 for playing some more chill titles and that transitioned me into a deck 🔥

I still play the xbox occasionally like nothing can compare with 55" 4k tv when you want to be fully immersed but for just relaxing (like minecraft) deck is perfect.. especially with those touchpads! Like you can customize the hell out of your controls and I love it!

  17. I'm about to sell my second Steam Deck, an OLED model. I just can't get into it, for me I prefer playing on my TV with a console, the battery life in the Deck is awful even when it's just streaming to my PS5. These PC handhelds are first gen devices for sure and need a model or two before they are worth a look IMO.

  18. I dual boot windows and linux on my steam deck. I use windows for games with anti cheats and linux for everything else.

  19. All I know is I’m not buying another console after this generation. It just doesn’t make any sense when you can get a PC or Hanheld PC that can play everything.

  20. Other than the New Ally X is it likely a new Steam deck will be coming out soon? Thinking of getting a Legion Go for the larger size and better customer service but the Steamdeck seems a good in-between between console UI and PC.

  21. Ally wins for several reasons. It will play all games unlike steam deck. You can mod games. Sound is far better. Variable refresh rate. 120hz screen. Steam games can be backed up and run even if Steam closed, you have no internet or you get a new system. Consoles depend on your account not being hacked, the company staying in business and your device not breaking. Sony also forces updates for games when you connect even if you turn off updating. Also I buy a pc game one time and run it on my pc and my handheld Rog Ally. Its like getting two games for the price of one.
