The Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal May Be Even Bigger Than We Thought…

The Nintendo Switch 2 reveal would probably provide a first look Switch Successor trailer… but what if there might be even more to show? Perhaps a bigger presentation, like a Nintendo Direct or some sort of show providing new details on the next 3D Mario, Mario Kart 10, and/or Metroid Prime 4: Beyond? Let’s talk about it.

  1. I think people are gonna be surprised at how much better the Switch 2 is gonna be with third party . Remember , we are talking PS4 Pro rumoured power with DLSS pushing it even further . I think the price will be around $429-$450 . I think the reveal will in 2025 will coincide with a COD release. Not at the same time but it will get announced .

  2. I will watch later but now I still haven’t watched it I will just wait for oled if they release it lcd seriously lcd hurts my eyes

  3. I posted this opinion before somewhere, but I think they would want to wait till after September into October because of the Zelda gold Switch Lite. It would help to sell the Zelda gold Switch Lite model without knowing there isn’t anything new on the horizon. Could argue that it will sell regardless because it’s Zelda but you never know

  4. The thing is, it's hard to imagine any Mario game not releasing on both consoles, and what IP is popular enough to be a launch exclusive? It's a very different scenario now as Switch 2 will most likely have exclusivity focusing on third party games, which doesn't quite fit with Nintendo games leading the way, but the current Switch should easily be capable enough for most first party games for a long time to come if Nintendo's gameplay priorities hold true.

  5. I dont think the Switch 2 will be revealed in September. We get Zelda previews, reviews and Zelda release

  6. If it's Mario Kart, it doesn't exactly require much in the way of previews. It's Mario Kart.

They could announce it and the show off a track or two in short videos over the next six months and you've got your marketing push.

  7. Nintendo does like to change things up, so it's not out of the question. However, I think they have adopted the approach of spacing things out as much as possible. Hence, I still expect them to start with a short reveal like the switch.

  8. I keep saying this but nobody is listening, the reason Nintendo is not stopping releasing Switch games, is because the Switch 2 will be a really beefed up version of the switch, so all games announced now, will be available for the switch 2, which will be fully backwards compatible, thus, they won't need many launch titles. A new 3D mario will be enough, and all of the main switch games will be playable and upscaled in the new console. So, you can just buy the new console, and keep buying the "old" games for the first couple of months.

  9. I think Nintendo will depend on a lot of cross gen titles of their older games for the launch of switch 2, such as TOTK, pikmin 4, Mario Wonders, whatever zelda game that’s scheduled to come out this month, etc. I don’t think you’ll see too many or any new IPs other than the likes of exercise and sports craps

  10. Eh I don't think the thing about people thinking the game teasers in the original Switch reveal just being tech demos is a big deal…
I was one of those people but then when the January 2017 presentation happened and they were confirmed to be real games coming soon I felt dumb in retrospect, if anything that precedent will make people realize whatever they show in the Switch 2 reveal isn't just a tech demo

  11. I believe a trailer will happen in the 2nd-3rd weeks, and the big launch game will be MK10 and/or a new 3D Mario. I feel as Metroid Prime 4 wouldn't appeal to most people, and Mario would obviously sell way better. Lets cross our fingers that this next console won't fail!

  12. Nintendo need to worry about new IPS not worried about Mario Zelda Kirby they need to worry about the Metroid franchise in other IPS they're not focusing on. Mario and Zelda and Kirby need to rest for a bit

  13. Totk doesn't feel pike a game that took 6 years to develop, especially when it built on botw, so i wouldn't be surprised if they were making another big zelda game alongside totk for switch 2

  14. I think you have the right idea here. A software-heavy reveal is to be expected. They're preparing a strong launch line-up, to get the new generation off to a good start, and they'll want to show it off.

  15. 3rd party launch games i hope to see; GTA V remaster, Elden Ring, Monster Hunter Wilds, and native versions of Control, the Forgotten City, Hitman 3, and Resident Evil 2 and 3 remaster (currenty cloud versions on switch)

  16. I think it might have a couple of surprise third party games at launch too, one or two that are scheduled to come out soon on other consoles

  17. The new charger for the original joycons releases in October, but I think they would want to show it off in the switch 2 trailer before it releases

  18. anyone who saw the switch 1 reveal and genuinely thought skyrim was on there as a placeholder is profoundly dumb and should never be taken seriously.

  19. I’m still waiting for Jeff Grubbs Metroid Marketing campaign that was gonna happen in May 😂
