  1. Okay this is getting ridiculous. This is almost as bad as Nintendo going after Toys R Us or Department stores back in the 80's for putting out Sega games and systems along with the NES and NES games. Now we've got companies going after people reviewing their crap game and tell us it's crap. Look you want to sell the game, make it good. Don't do the woke bullshit, the DEI crap, just put out a good game. As is I'm going to wait until this game is cheap before I even think about buying it.

  2. Honestly I think a lot of the Outlaws stuff is being blown way out of proportion right now. I’m an avid gamer who follows a LOT of gaming channels. I’m also an avid Star Wars fan and follow just about the same amount of channels devoted exclusively to SW content. The Acolyte was a terrible piece of work that I wish never existed but I do feel it has created these hate googles now. A lot of these people saying Ubisoft is paying for good reviews are focusing mainly on reactors and reviewers who also had good opinions about that shit show. It completely ignores channels like skillup, Luke Stephens, ACG, and Jake from Gameranx…all of which also got early access and are known to point out flaws in games even if it’s against the masses. All of them had a pretty good time with the game but of course had some flaws to point out. My point is, it’s easy to look at a few and call them shills, but to label a whole game as terrible because a couple people you don’t like got to enjoy it first is absurd. Just look for gaming channels you trust and wait for their full review. If the channels listed above are cool with it come full release then I’ll probably be cool with it. I akin it to the Guardians of The Galaxy game. I wasn’t too excited for it before release, thought it looked wack. But the reviews were good at release so I tried it and LOVED it! 🔥 hoping for a similar turnout here

  3. I blame Disney more than Ubisoft. They haven’t released a true AAA Star Wars game since they took over from Lucas gaming, which is the main problem, Disney.

  4. The comment you quoted at the begining was from a youtuber paid to advertize for the game, not from an independent reviewer, so of course when doing an advertisement, it will have to meet standards.

As for the other reviewers, MAYBE, just maybe, a lot of reviewers actually liked it, because it isn't really that bad. Footage from a more recent build has come out (the one getting postive reviews) and it looks a lot better than what IGN depicted. Newsflash, games can and do get better during development.

Yes, Disney gave some of them a free trip to Disneyland, but what game studio doesnt give their reviewers money and/or free items? This isnt anything new. That doesnt mean said reviewers cant be geuine and give legitmiate cretiqies. Every video i watched from the reviewers who went to Disneyland, included a mix of compliments and complaints, so no, i dont believe they all sold out.

And from everything ive seen and heard, while the game isnt revolutionary, or game-of-the-year material, it most certainly looks fun and definitely feels authentically star wars. So if you like star wars, and you like video games, i truly believe you will enjoy it if you give it a chance.

You dont have to preorder, and you definitely dont have to get the ultimate edition. Just buy the base game, and if you enjoy it and want more, then buy the season pass or individual story DLCs when they go on sale.

  5. I'd rather play perfect dark on a n64 on a modern TV than participate in Kathleen Kennedy cosplayING as han solo

  6. Vote with your wallet. Don't like the business practices EA or Ubisoft use? Don't buy into their games or especially the micro transactions. Teach them. I haven't for years now.

  7. Don't worry the video is downloaded and on multiple discord channels for star wars fans not disney or ubi controlled channels.

  8. 10:51– Yeah, but that wouldn’t prove anything either! What any of those review/“I watched ____ for the first time” channels!?! They are almost all just so fake! With some of the worst over reactions I have ever seen!!! Honestly if any of those videos ended with them still over reacting to whatever and turns to the camera and goes straight to a serious/emotionless expression on their face and then says how horrible it really was and that they were mocking it by over reacting I wouldn’t be shocked!!!

  9. 7:28– But that’s what they DON’T want!!! And SWGT already talked about it and trashed it!!! If they were dumb enough to give “full access” to SWGT they would go broke with no one buying their game!

  10. Used to think video games might be the last place you could enjoy Star Wars … nope … Star Wars is fully dead with this.

  11. 3:30– Is that you’re assumption?!? Because that is definitely NOT true!!! He had to show them “before he posted it”, right? Well if he “didn’t like that he had to tell people to pre order it” then he wouldn’t of posted it in the first place!!! Plus with how it sounded like you said his wording was, he didn’t say it and that 3rd party wasn’t happy!?! So if that was the case, then he would have took it down because he was told to! But what it actually sounds like is that he knew what he was doing, he got paid to hype up a game he didn’t really like, someone called him out on “selling out” to promote that game and “then” he took it down trying to act like he didn’t know what was going on!?! I find it hilarious that people don’t understand how “if you admit something because YOU KNOW IT WAS WRONG” then that is coming clean and you deserve at least credit for doing so! But “if you admit something that people already know about and everything that would prove it is already out AND THEN you admit to it” you get NOTHING!!! No credit, no props, no respect!!! You didn’t “come clean” for any reason that had to do with morals or “trying to do the right thing”! You did it to save your own a$$ and not suffer any consequences!!!

  12. 0:30– (Oh……… I thought it said this was a different channel!?! Whatever, no big deal) Does it say anything about that “3rd party” sponsoring the video?!? Because yeah, if a company is going to give you money to promote their product (regardless of what they call it) then yes they are going to want to check it first to make sure they are getting their moneys worth!?! And how they can get out of saying they “didn’t force you to say good things about a bad product” is by saying “you can say whatever you want” and while they are reviewing your video, if they don’t like what they see they just don’t pay you!!!

  13. For me, yes I like beautiful people in my video games. It is escapism. I don’t want to see my mid self in a game or film. It’s fantasy. However I downplay that rhetoric of ugly characters and bad graphics if the game is fun and the gameplay works well. Hogwarts legacy: the character choices were all ugly. Hair and cloth physics were horrible. But it was a fun game to play. Look at Roblox and Minecraft. Are those sexy characters or graphics? No! But people have been playing those games for over a decade. So criticism over sexy characters and graphics are overblown in my opinion. If you have to neglect render power for something else the game offers in return, so be it.

So someone please review the gameplay and not the aesthetics. Is it worth the money to spend on it outside of Vanity Fair magazine?

  14. You know what would have been a great Star Wars game: Helldivers! Just imagine Helldivers 2 set in the Star Wars galaxy during the clone wars and you play as a storm trooper being sent on missions. That would have been EPIC! Well, at least as long as it was allowed to be kept fun and true to the lore.

  15. Nobody cares about this game, if I wanted to play as Luther I'd buy a second hand PS2 and get a copy of "The Warriors", even that would be cheaper and a hell of a lot more enjoyable!

  16. They did the same thing with a group of like 10 star wars content creators for The Acolyte, they invited them to come to Disneyland to watch episodes early, to hang out with KK, Leslye Headland, and Dave Filoni and were given large "gift bags/boxes" so that they would positively review The Acolyte lmao. In the picture the one creator I recognized was I think Carly King, Im sure you can find the picture of them all on google. What a lame business practice, but I wouldn't expect anything else from Lucasfilm and Disney at this point.

  17. My dad used to tell me, "I'm not so rich that I can afford free stuff." Usually the free stuff is what costs the most.

  18. A game like this cost more than your channel, your house, your car and the life savings of you and your entire neighborhood combined!
Do you really think they'll let you give a negative review for an early access copy of it before it even comes out?!

  19. Theory used to take lots of gifts back in the day. Hes since learned his lesson so good for him.

  20. Or instead of wasting all the money on shills and 3rd party liaisons, they could’ve spent it on making the game better. That requires work though. Strong female lead is the message.

  21. A lot of companies are doing this. Disney gives out trips to premiers for journalists that give them good reviews. If you look at the Acolyte reviews, the highest ratings come from the small time journalists.

  22. Requirements are slightly above average for gaming pc. But those are for 1080, 30 fps and low preset with quality upscale!?!??! Wow, that is bad. Especially considering that game looks like it is 5-7 years old.
It looks on the same level as Witcher 3, while having 2-3 times higher requirements. And from i understand it is not even true open world.

  23. Once upon a time, being the IP holder conferred absolute control over a brand. That day is dead. If the IP holder refuses to bring out new content or insists on only bringing out degraded content, then we can make our own. I invite all my fellow Star Wars fans to enjoy another unauthorized novel completely free. Just google Legend of the Harp Jedi.

  24. Remember corpos; want to take all your money, will hire non citizens to line their pockets, and hate what you want. Stop buying.

  25. When the game is crap, you are not going to give it to the honest. No company in their right mind wants honest with crap like that game

  26. In any other industrie we call this behavior bribing. Punishable by law. Internet law is 10 years behind what is happening today.

  27. It really should be mentioned that the Wild Games Studio incident happened in 2013 and really has nothing to do with Ubisoft or Star Wars Outlaws. Don't know why the article would even mention it.

TotalBiscuit himself has been gone for six years. RIP. He really was one of the good ones.

  28. The min requirements arnt crazy. All modern games have similar requirements. If you arn’t rocking at least a 3070 by now you are going to have a tough time with any new release. That being said outlaws looks boring as F with worse than bethesda enemy AI
