  1. What do you guys think: I do have a ps5 and a pc. Pc specs: R75700X, 32Gb Ram, 6800 Xt. Should I buy the console version or the pc is the way to go in terms of visuality and performance?

  2. This has been my favorite video game since I was sixteen, and the first game to usurp Resident Evil 4 as my favorite, which had been that since I was nine. The Legend of Zelda games don't count, since they're in their own domain. Anyways, I think this game might be the reason I finally buy a PS5, someday. Unfortunately, I think I'll be missing the release date by a large margin; it's just not in the budget. At first, I had mixed feelings about there being a remake of SH2. On one hand, it's my favorite game; on the other, does the entertainment market full of remakes and reboots really need this? That said, this looks impeccable, and makes me wanna pop in my Silent Hill DVD. God bless.

  3. Looks MUCH better than I thought. Thank God.

But still, a few things like, the pacing seems to fast, animations from running <> walking too abrupt etc. I still stand by the idea that if this was given to Remedy it'd have been perfect.

  4. Konami's attempt to modernize Silent Hill 2 appears to be an uphill battle. The decision to rework character designs and alter the creatures' appearances strays dangerously close to undermining the original's core themes and atmosphere. While adapting for a new audience is a common goal, the redesigns seem to miss the nuances that made the original so hauntingly effective.

The changes to iconic elements suggest a level of creative overconfidence, indicating a potential disconnect from what made Silent Hill 2 a masterpiece. Bloober team plea for players to 'give it a chance' is also concerning; it reveals a lack of faith in the remake’s ability to stand on its own. If even the developers seem uncertain of their product's merit, it raises the question: why should the audience believe in it?

I choose to not tarnish the legacy of the original with a product that clearly fails in every aspect to show respect to a master piece.

  5. Wonder if it’ll still work the same as the original where you can just avoid Pyramid Head long enough until the sirens sound off?

  6. Big fan of the originals, I like the idea of game time extension in gameplay. More to explore and more to get creeped out over. I like what I'm seeing and looking forward to its release.

  7. I really like the sounds James makes during combat. He's not some special forces bad*ss he's an average Joe fighting for his life.

  8. The flashlight is attached to his torso, which is swaying from side to side with each step, yet the light that comes from it is static and steady like he has it mounted on an expensive gimble. Why? When he turns from a noise the light that is attached to him literally stays pointed straight ahead.. That's not even possible. Where is the light source? I loved the creepy way the swaying light caused every shadow to grow and retract behind almost every object with every little gesture and movement from the character in the original games… This game has lost so many of the subtleties that made the original game as good as it was and still is.

  9. Somethin about 2 pairs of legs, sewn together, throwing right crosses that just don't seem right

  10. Original intro/beginning was much more dramatic, voice acting and music/ambient. It does look good though, but I still like former James more.

  11. I loved the music, very calm and the atmosphere of the game. I feel that it is a sad and depressing game ❤

  12. why does this game seem like your local town's theater group are doing their rendition of "Silent Hill 2"

  13. Pros: Fog looks great, cool music and excellent sound design, combat seems clunky in a good way, creepy, surreal atmosphere like the original, and the character doesn't talk every 5 seconds.

Cons: That janky walking animation and the horrible red frame around the screen when you get injured.

  14. Графика конечно "вырви глаз", как-будто на 10 лет назад вернулся. Надеюсь игра возьмёт атмосферой, иначе это провал года…
