  1. It feels strange to be "locked" into an era. What if my research is really good and I learn them all before the era switch. Am I just wasting things. How does that help me get ahead in the eventual race to build the rocketship?

  2. Why does the Roman leader look like someone that subscribes to Hatshepsuts OF? 😀

  3. How tf does the civilisation change make sense. And how did you think egypt becoming songhai is "natural". I wanted civ 7 not humankind 2

  4. Not sure how I feel about the changing of civs. It feels a bit off when historically Civ has been a game about making your civilisation stand the test of time/etch it's name into history. I think it could be especially jarring with different building models between civs. Will we end up with a mix and match in cities or does everything magically change?
I think it makes more sense to switch the leader changes with the civ changes. You can upgrade your civ as time passes, but the leader switches out occasionally bringing different perks.

  5. Man, I was so excited for a new Civ game. Guess I'll have to wait until Humankind 2.0 gets released before that comes around

  6. Finally river navigation…. <3
Also will you be making machines of death or war? Similar to world wonders but like war machines of wonder?

  7. I played 4.2k hours of Civ 6 and am very disappointed watching this. In Civ, players write history and stand the test of time by playing historical leaders from specific Civs.

There is no need for all Civs to be balanced throughout the ages. Instead, the Civs in the game should be equipped with unique features that allow players to endure the test of time by making wise decisions and utilising the unique features of the Civs, understanding their strengths and weaknesses. For instance, as Mali, you have a super hard early game defending yourself due to low production capacity, but your effort in constructing holy sites and Sugubas finally pay off, and players can build the wealthiest Civ.

I am not sure you guys made such a decision to make players choose different Civ when they reach a different age due to your team's political stereotypes towards nationalism. However, nationalism has pros and cons, and I believe the game – Civ should have such elements as in Civ, you are playing a Civ, not Civs. And clearly, this game is not Humankind or sort. In Civ 7, I will never have the joy of listening to the industrial era theme of Waltzing Matilda as an Aussie and liberating those in need with Diggers when I reach the industrial era and celebrate myself about how my hard work in ancient, medieval and renaissance era as Australian civilisation finally paying off.

Having only 3 ages sounds like quite ridiculous also. I believe representing and depicting historical context are very important for this particular game. I wonder how someone can depict the full spectrum of human history, having only 3 ages in the game. People are allowed to summarise only as much.

Nonetheless, I admit that the graphics look fantastic, and I am just distraught that Civ 7 is not something I am happy to play as I would like to play Civ, not Humankind.

I sincerely hope the developers take the above into consideration.

    Many thanks and regards,

    From "Civ" player

  8. I hope they expand the battle system for Civ7. I feel like combat took a back seat on Civ6, and It would be awesome if they expanded on it.

  9. Looks like another triumph of graphics (and hence expensive graphics cards and CPUs) over game play. I hope not. I almost don't care what it looks like but I care deeply that the game is fair, has intelligible rules and a degree of complexity that allows me to play many games without any semblance of repetition.

  10. they say, "we cannot wait, for you to dicover, your new favorite leader in civilization 7"
But once again, you didn't add him into the game…

  11. This is the stupidest idea I've ever seen from you guys.. My god why don't you listen to the fans? I agree with the majority here replace the leaders not the civilization.

  12. Positive parts:

It looks amazing, good art work. I like that the leaders are more dynamic and the eras. The navigable rivers, now a city looks alive with this mechanic and the urban and rural areas. Combats look more realistic and immersive.

    Not so positive parts:

The map margins should be like VI, which is masterful, with an old map revealing itself as you go. I find the movement marker very rough. I hope diplomacy is more dynamic and rich like in Humankind and doesn't stagnate with unfair deals or repetitive and boring like in the previous ones.

In short, I was going to get a girlfriend this year but that can wait another turn…

  13. 1. Please add several leaders for Russia. For example, Yaroslav the Wise, Ivan the Terrible, Peter I, Catherine II, Stalin

    2. Introduce, as in the 3rd part, a real city population, and the ability to create incredible megacities, as well as the rating of these megacities in the game world. The more realism, the better.

    3. I really liked that in the 6th part you could not only fight, but also simply develop the state. But I want a more complex economic system that would resemble a real one. For example, to build tanks in a city, you need to build a tank manufacturing plant, which in turn has a requirement for the city's population, the presence of a power plant, higher education institutions and access to a metallurgical plant. In any case, make the economy multi-stage and confusing, but with the ability to create super-cities.

    4. Return the mode of other planets for colonization from the second part with a separate research branch.

    5. And make research more complex. To study certain technologies, unique resources are needed. Thus, each nation will have access to unique technologies depending on what resources it was surrounded by.

  14. Let's hope CIV7 won't turn into some political correct, diverse, woke and censored mess.

  15. Love the visual upgrade. The concept of 'Ages' is interesting, but leaders need to remain relevant to the original Civ and continue that thread of evolution and culture. Appreciate that not every Civ has 3 leaders of note in history. So let people design their own leaders for each Age in addition to original leader roster?

Switching out leaders from a completely different civilisations is bizarre decision that (for me), completely undercuts the potential of the 'Ages' mechanic.

  16. Well, nice! Civ VI is an excelent game by itself, it is nice to see big changes like Civs and leader Management, it will create that refreshing feeling of playing a different game.

I see many people complaining as though they want to play the same game with better graphics 😂 then, just use a mod for Civ VI or something. As players, we should just hope mechanics works fine.

I'm most excited for navigable rivers, they are SOOO important historically, it will be very fun to check that out.

  17. Civilizations do not evolve like a Pokémon.
Civilizations collapse, are invaded, destroyed or their system collapses and is replaced by new ones.
And also I don't want to see Mao Zedong as leader of the Roman Empire!
Please provide options to disable these 2 stupid changes in game creation options
