Secret Level: Every Video Game In The New Trailer

One of the most intriguing projects featured at gamescom 2024 isn’t a game at all, but an animated series. Prime Video’s Secret Level is an anthology series by the creators of Love, Death + Robots. Each episode is basically a short film inspired by the characters and worlds of iconic video games like God of War, Mega Man, Unreal Tournament, and Pac-Man.

The first trailer for the series gives us a brief glimpse of these gorgeously animated shorts and the often surprising ways in which they reinvent familiar gaming icons. But which games are featured in the series, and is that really Keanu Reeves piloting a mecha suit? Let’s break down exactly what we see in the trailer.

  1. This feels like an excuse to advertise current Sony and Amazon titles. Those are clearly the weakest in terms of excitement. I'm very interested in the creative choices of obscure (like armored core) and beloved franchises. (Mega-man and Pac-Man)

  2. Doom
    Mass Effect
    Dragon Age
    Elder Scrolls
    Fallout
    Warframe
    War Craft
    Star Craft
    Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun
    C & C Red Aleart

  3. A season two should look into some arcade classics like Asteroids, Centipede, Tempest, Contra, Gradius, Twin Bee, Dark Stalkers, Strider, Final Fight any of those… Great Stuff! Secret Level is like the best of the box art, only come to life!

  4. Wouldn't it be so nice if when they are making the job Sakai episode they end up putting a message saying that ghost of Tsushima is on the works

  5. I’m probably more than likely to be wrong for this game but that mystery game and its images gives me a Subnautica vibe.

  6. Maybe the mystery game is Pokemon and the creatures are symbiotes who bond with their human.

  7. Correction: The Super Smash Bros. Mega Man reveal trailer was actually from 2013, not 2018.

  8. I’m mainly just hyped for the show after seeing Kratos all though it’s just gonna be one episode if that

  9. I'd love to see Legacy of Kain, Thief, Quake, Vanquish, and Human Head Studios' Prey all get some representation in Season 2.

  10. Even better is that the Warhammer 40K story feature Idris Elba and also the main character Titus from the Space Marine 2, Titus has a Laurel of Victory on his helmet (a medal for a marine accomplish a great deed) meanings this is a direct sequel to the campaign of Space Marine 2
