DLC in Pokémon isnt pay to win. Even if you don't have the DLC, you can get the DLC mons by trading or Pokémon Home.

So if you happened to play Gen 3 Pokémon competitively it would of costed you 5 copies of the GBA titles, XD and Colosseum and th are t Pokémon box game on the GameCube, link cables to trade around and then the entree fee to tournaments not sure if I missed anything but it was very expensive and even today it’s still expensive you’ll need 2 switches if you don’t have friends, Pokémon BD/SP, LA, S/S, S/V and then an online Nintendo membership and then Pokémon home to transfer between games and again that’s if I haven’t missed anything.

Bring back 3rd version games! I’m fine with Dream Radar themed DLC where you pay less than 10 bucks to unlock the new forms for the 3rd version. But with current DLC, it’s just boring

Dream Radar was also a reliable means for Hidden Abilities, which include the Forces of Nature themselves (though they have no HAs in their Therian forms, it remains coded in should you use the Reveal Glass)

The pay to win argument is so dumb as you need to pay to play the game literally any game, you can have all the best mons and still lose because it doesn't actually factor to somebody's skill level.

To be fair, to win you need to play. And to play you need to buy the games, usually with money. So Pokémon was already pay to win.

Even though you can use play coins, they still imposed a limit to how many times you can use play coins in one day.
