No amount of self-awareness can mitigate the stupidity of this premise. I suspect A.I. is already being used to write movies now. There's just something so lifeless about this. Every aspect of it from the Joss Whedon dialogue to the editing of the trailer is like being lobotomized. Hollywood doesn't even hide the fact that none of these actors are cast for their talent or charisma. They're just soulless vessels. DJ and Chris Evans are so unlikable and have zero chemistry, they might as well be A.I.-generated themselves. There is something so off about "The Rock". He looks like a woman with a pointy head who destroyed their body with steroids and stimulants for 20 years.

I swear it's like movie directors just wanna publicly embarrass themselves.
If you had presented this movie 20 years ago you would have been made a laughingstock.
