That Age Verification is making me MAD. If you give away your ID to Meta, they are violating your privacy and rights to your headset.

I will be sure to never buy a Meta product ever again and I hope content creators will expose Meta for this action.

people saying its good to protect children and thats fine and all but its not like they dont also play games like call of duty and fortnite where people say some rough stuff, also children under 10 just shouldnt be allowed to play online games but ehh whatcha gonna do.

I played Contractors Showdown from when it was in closed beta and I love the game so much I played it almost all the time that I could. It is a great game to load into and find a team and play a game the physics and mechanics are also amazing in it

They should make poppy playtime vr.Poppy playtime would be very suitable for VR because you only use two hands (right click, left click)

I think a serious Age verification with all its limits, is a good thing. First of all, when you play PVP Shooters online, they are crowded with small kids. This is a.) annoying and b.) not right that they getting used to so much violence in this stage of their development.

And second, there are many creeps out there, who shouldn't get such easy access to kids and maybe it forces some parents to actually deal with their kids and not only buy them a expensive toy to shut them up. I mean, which responsible Parent let their 10 year old boy play contractors. Sorry, I see it all the time and it will not get in my head how you can do such a thing.

My kids are playing. My oldest 13 year old, plays in his agegroup. My yougest almost 9, playes kids games without multiplayer, like little cities and stuff.
I see no problem with younger players playing VR, as long as they keep it within their age range in games, and stay offline untill they are old enough.

@jaybratt you think there will be any chance they will mod showdown for battlefront? 30v30 domination would be epic.

I think one issue with Meta's age verification system is that it assumes that most people even bother setting up separate accounts for their children, rather than just letting their children log in as them.

There's a weird error in one story (Homeworld VR) that originates from your source. They state that it is being developed by "the studio behind the classic real-time strategy franchise Homeworld", but.. it's not. It's being developed by a studio called FarBridge under contract to the current owners of the Homeworld IP, Gearbox Software. The original creators of Homeworld, Relic, mostly reformed under Blackbird Interactive, who are making Homeworld 3 currently (also under contract to Gearbox software). Going by FarBridge's "about us" page, no one claims to have ever worked for Relic, Blackbird Interactive, or worked on any game in the Homeworld franchise. I've no idea where RoadToVR got the impression that FarBridge are the studio behind the Homeworld franchise.

I don't care about kids being in VR for their own well-being. I'll just be glad when I can play online and not have my eardrums blown out by the high-pitched voice of an 11-year-old trying to be edgy by yelling racial slurs.

Dose anyone know how bad faint scratches on my quest 3 is I struggle with other thinking things I think there faint I didn’t notice untill I use a torch somone help me in panicking way to much 😩😩

I played about 60hrs of Contractors:Showdown during the betas.. OMG! The game is just great! It feels so good, and really scratches that Warzone itch but in VR!
