The game has known performance issues on its primary platform (pc), so that usually means bad news for console ports as well. I would anticipate a series of post launch patches, as is sadly standard these days.

The reason behind the Ponytails confusion around this game traces back to 2022 when a certain gaming insider(presumably a pony themselves) claimed that the XBOX Series S was holding back gaming as a whole ; because as the 'least powerful console of this generation' it means that devs have to make games that will accommodate the least powerful console instead of the most powerful; it was said. Of course, Microsoft came out and rubbished these claims. So fast forward to when the news of Black Myth being delayed on XBOX owing to optimization issues , the conspiracy minded ponies immediately translated this to mean Microsoft lost the deal entirely due to the claim made earlier about the Series S being difficult to develop games for. But needless to say, they were wrong as always.

Instead of trying to be edgy and delay it on Xbox they should of delayed that trash game on all platforms 😂

I think there are no PS5 reviews because it's even buggier there, and the devs told reviewers to wait for a patch. The reviewers can't talk about it either. IMO if it was going to be like this, Game Science should have focused on a PC only launch. But maybe they were betting on big sales on PS5.

Playstation doesn't seem to be able to manage UE5 as good as X-box, it's only competitive with last gen level games at a lower dynamic res. Well, it's good with older games and UE3 and stuff BEFORE all the updates come out, and then X-box gets better performance

When it aims for the same resolution, or uses UE5, it falls behind Series X HARD from day one and never gets closer to it.

If sony really did pay to get this game as a timed exclusive I think they are wasting their money. This game isn't a needle mover and its already been confirmed for xbox.

Will run better than PS on XSX due to better VRR

From what I have heard, Wukong is mixed.

Boss fights are good, all other fights are weak.
Game mechanics and gameplay outside combat is weak
The story is weak and acting variable.
But the game (performance issues aside) looks good and boss fights are fun. The game just outstays its welcome very fast. Its just very buggy post Chapter 2.

We'll have to see what it is actually like when the game is released in a couple of fays but the lack of PS5 reviews, and the restrictions placed on PC reviews aren't typical for a game seen as being in a state fit for release. These types of restrictions are similar to those we saw for Cyberpunk. The devs appear to have copied SM2 for the PS5 and polished only those areas that were going to be shown in reviews

And that isn't a good sign. It tends to confirm the rumor that the PS5 version is a buggy mess
