I’ve got some Switch 2 news for you today. There’s some strong speculation going on suggesting that Nintendo may be revisiting the Dual Screen Wii U concept. And the reason people are thinking this is oddly enough because of a fan in a dock.
It seems odd, but I’ll try to explain. Basically, people have been digging through customs data, and through this, they have found out that the dock for Nintendo’s next console has a fan in it. That’s strange, because the current dock doesn’t have a fan. So why would this next one need to be cooled?
Well, the running theory is that it’s going to be a bit more than just a simple dock. It’s rumored that the successor to the Switch will be able to wirelessly send video to this dock: essentially making it kind of like a Wii U, but in reverse.
With this setup, the Switch 2 could potentially play not only Wii U…
Wii U was actually alr in my opinion
Is really not that difficult to understand. And it does not suggest any Wii U like functions. It is as simple as the switch 2 is going to be more powerful and when in docked mode it requires a fan to keep it cool. That is if this is even true, but saying because there maybe a fan in the dock and suggesting that is an indicator of Wii U like features is really jumping the shark.
My dumbass thought it was a shipping dock and some standing fan.
A reverse wii u is just a worse wii u like that's just a bad idea💀
Theres a fan and your first thought is wireless docking instead of processor/chipset uograde?!
The switch’s hardware is hot trash

i find it way more believable that the fan is in there because the dock will have additional components in it to boost performance. Imagine, they could make the dock have a processor and maybe a laptops graphics card, which would then significantly boost the performence of the switch in docked mode.
Honestly anyone with a switch has like 8 of them lol so I mean it makes sense
Tbh the switch can get hot in the dock because it's pushing more power into it then just the battery and if we get better chips and a different screen that means it will be even hotter when it's plugged into power so instead of melting the dock or having a metal heat sink or dock that will most likely burn you they opted for a fan to keep it cool
it could be a great idea and allow old handheld games to be played on the newest console. could be a huge financial win for nintendo. the wii u was a good concept with poor execution, so if they can perfect it, it could be a massive success
Question: Do you think wireless docking will be the “Switch 2’s” primary gimmick?
