This is exactly why I couldn't get into final fantasy. I tried it out like 2 years ago, and I kept asking the same damn thing "when do I get to go kill stuff"
This guy whines more than my 5yo.
The first time I played wow, was the rerelease of classic. I built up a level sixty mage and was doing okay until I went to my first raid. It was horrible. I wasted hours, and I realized if this is what the purpose of the game is, then it's a waste of my time.
I think blizzard has forgotten that new players to the genre and the game in general are coming into the game for the first time ever and it sort of feels like they are updating and progressing the game with only the retained 10+ years veteran and disregard the idea that a completely new person to the genre or the game exists. Almost every update I've ever played in wow I know how to do everything within an hour or so and I've had players get into the game for the first time and I played with them and the amount I have to explain is actually insane cause to me it feels so natural cause I'm on the game for 15 years but to them they are lost as can possibly be and if I wasn't around to explain what to do or how to do things they'd have turned off the game and just waited for mee to get on which has happend countless times. Blizzard needs to revamp the actual new player experience and stop focusing on the players that are gonna play the game forever no matter what and think about getting people into the game and then retain those players without information overload and need for an experienced friend to hold hands.

What Blizzard should do:
1. Decrease XP for new Players, and let them level 1-60 in Dragonflight.
2. Redesign Dragonflight to be more like Classic in Level & Ability integration for New Players.
3. Have Wrathion guide the Tutorial, while he teach them Dragonflight Lore.
4. Have different Quest givers give you Quests based on your Level.
5. Have Dialogue trees available about Old Lore to new players.
Give them options to choose:
"I want to listen to your Story"
And
"I don't have time, I want to kill stuff"

This should fix 90% of all the problems in WoW, and would make Blizzard and Microsoft a shitloads of money 💰✨

World of warcraft before was the boars are wreaking the farm got kill 10 of them and all the instances were the major stores. Now its here is the story to World of warcraft 1 page every quest a great scenematic that you dont understand but looks greatm then more running around and more pages to read when people just want that old like in goldshire kill 10 murlocs and bring back the candle and gold stuff because they set up a camp near the mine and then it lead to deadmines where it was more of a story

Not a new player, I remember playing WoW when it first released. Stopped somewhere around wrath. Just started again on my steam deck of all things. I feel like the guy in the video. "I dont read quests, I just complete them", literally one of the options Blizzard gave for me to choose.
im kind of new i play dragonflight and i don't like there quest or jobs they have in game i mean no point in just kill some creeps or boss it's boring its like a ofline game i just like the pvp they have in game. i like to play with some human:/
That was my expeirence made me tired and confused thought it was the same as classic just with more content but i was mistaking. Not to mention i quite playing didnt finish didnt get off the island went to bed
Can’t believe this is WoW wtf. I’m an old school player I started at the middle of Burning Crusade (before resource’s sparklerd) and played through WoTLK which I feel was the greatest time ever, this is nothing at all like WoW. How terrible
I am of the rare breed who likes reading the lore of any game I play. If a game has too little lore, i get bored and quit. But only in the sidequest area. If it is part of the mainquest, i start feeling like I am forced to engage in the lore, without any breaks to digest what is being said, as I play. And yes, having time to digest what you read, to try and make sense is necessary.

I returned to WoW Retail after about… 2-3 years? for a free weekend. People, WoW right now is chaotic, overwhelming, everything is wrong. Really, I've been playing WoW since 2008? What is happening to this game now is a joke. Avoid like the plague. I'm glad I didn't buy either the add-on or the subscription. This free weekend allowed me to say goodbye to WoW forever.

I think wow could really benefit by pulling a ff14. The developers don't even consider you an experienced player until 300 hours. They put you in a newbie network with all the other newbies and you can just literally talk, ask questions and figure out the game together.

Disagree on the art. FF14 is timeless and I don't understand anyone that says it's ugly. But it's all preferences in the end.
I want them to sell a new xpac, for full AAA new game price. But the dlc is a as big as original WoW. Where the full experience is just new lands, quests, lore and civilizations. 60 slow levels. Full of dungeons. Now crazy end of the world moments, just adventure.
Classic WoW is designed really well, people just progress and play with their intuition.
But classic Blizzard just fucks everything up after a few years
I had the same issue with Final Fantasy 14 recently, its so hard to get into these games cuz its just fetch quests and walking back and forward. Its boring

I played WoW from vanilla through to WotLK and then quit and never came back. And I am happy I never came back. I transferred all my characters to my younger brother who still occasionally plays but I would never return to this shitstorm if it really is like this.
I tried it having never played wow and its was horrible. Honestly I realized I just hate Blizzard art style. There building's and stuff just look so low effort from classic all the way up to retail. Reminds me of over watch maps. The scale always feels of and the design is just so generic fantasy and boring.

I would like to say despite the game trying to push you to BfA it does not do a good job. I tried to get to BfA when I first started playing and somehow ended up in Mists of Pandaria. Dunno how. Ended up giving up midway through mists and went to play FFXIV, much better experience
It's been a thing for a very long time…I want to play wow so bad but every time I jump in what he is going through is how I feel every time and stop playing within 2-3 weeks then return to SWtoR to get the mmo fix
It stopped being cool and trendy to hate retail like 2 years ago relax.
