While I'm disappointed the games play style has changed drastically, I'm happy that it appears to be a prequel rather than a sequel.

Hopefully, if we get a sequel, it retains the same game style as the original.

I am cautiously optimistic but I'm first off really sad. The first game had some of the most unique and childish wonder like gameplay. I loved the action adventure mixed with deck builder mixed with dice roller. At least for the trailer this just seems like a much more generic indie rogue like (at least gameplay wise). 😢

What a disapointment. Just played through the original again. Hyped when I see their was a new game and than that. Make a true sequel or prequel, not something boring like that

Wow I'm so excited at this news announcement! Original was a bit of a hidden gem. Though unfortunately going by this trailer, I'm but concerned there will be less of a focus on characters & story, but I hope I'm wrong

I don't think this is Lost in Random 2 proper, but a side-gig to acquire funding for the sequel.

I literally just today found out about Lost in Random because it was on sale just to find out it is getting a sequel of sorts.

The first game is clearly a hidden gem from the looks of it, tho it's a little sad it's sequel isn't in the same genre as the first.

I got so excited when I saw there would be a second one, I loved the first so much. After watching the trailer, I am deeply disappointed.
I love rogue-lites but this will be one I won't be playing. The first one was so unique and interesting, this one feels like a Hades ripoff.

My one critisism of the last game was that I felt dissatisfied of there not being more of it. I'm hoping this game helps make up for that, and I can enjoy even more story.

Completely slept on hidden gem. LiR is incredible fun and it's a crime that it was so overlooked.

So you go from a unique play for cards for summoning weapons and other abilities to your standard Hades type game with a Lost In Random skin. Yeah that makes perfect sense. Smh

Okay, I'm not joining the hate-wagon. I'm actually hyped for this.

Look, this feels more like a spin-off than an outright sequel. It focuses on the game's main villian rather than the sisters, so I think it can get away with changing the genre. Plus, Lost in Random's writing was great. Give me that in a hades style area and you've got me sold.

I share your dissapointment, but I truly believe when the time comes to return to the original protaganists, the original combat will return. I am not worried.

Would wishlist this straight away if it was in the same gameplay as the first game. Pretty gutted…

Can’t believe they took a unique game and just turned it into yet another rogue lite. All these creative minds in this industry and all they can come up with are either live services, rogue lites, souls clones, or metroidvanias.

I'm excited to see more of Lost in Random, since I absolutely adored the first game! That said, I'm rather disappointed that this is just another rogue-like. Apart from the art-style, writing, and unique world, I felt the gameplay of the first one stood out as being special. I still wish there was a physical disc copy of that one which I could own. Tired of industry trends like digital-only, but I also understand that small indie devs don't always have the choice. I'll support this new game anyway, just because I love the characters so much. Please make it good.

I wish developers wouldn't change an IP's genre like this. If they wanted to make a Rogue-lite, just make a new IP. Lost in Random had such an interesting gameplay design that could have been fleshed out so much more. And this is not that.
