I don't understand people who explode unfounded complaints that the series has lost its identity. They act as if Nagoshi only produced works that are not stupid. To tell you the truth, when Nagoshi was a director, Yakuza dead souls came out, a piece about zombies that are extremely stupid and unrealistic. The main scenario writer for Y0 and Y7, the most acclaimed story in the series, is Masayoshi Yokoyama, the current director. Although the IW story was weak in the second half, that doesn't mean the series is over.
More than anything, the demo version of this game hasn't been released yet.

to be honest this looks very, very stupid and Yakuza/LAD seems to be pulling a Saints' Row situation here. Let's not forget that Volition shut down entirely after making a Saints' Row game that was a huge departure from the series and not very good.
