Hyperion Joycon overview: They are very comfortable, have GYRO, Rumble (standard) and a proper D-Pad. Plus they charge normally on the Switch. Great Joycon.

  1. Started Tokyo Xanadu. So, far it’s not bad. Feels and looks like a ps2 era game (which makes sense since it was a PSVita game).

  2. What a great month on Switch! Looking forward to Trails through Daybreak and Tokyo Xanadu eX+. Thanks for the video!

  3. Blasphemous has tons of dying and I definitely wish for more checkpoints at times in that one.

When Megaton gets a physical I'm gonna try and pick that up.

  4. im i the only one who thinks luigi mansion 2 camera and controls are a bit wobbly for a tripple A game ? i do have a good time in this game and really love it but i am more anoyed by starting up from the beginning of the chapter when you die then the professor calling .

  5. I have played leachie's mansion too, but I'm stuck on the level with the dog.The goes dog it's hard to try to figure out where he is

  6. I get pre-backlog clarity anytime switchup uploads…but I’ll never stop

  7. Currently playing Megaton Musashi (on PS5 though), but to me the story feels so cliché "Japanese-anime-teenagers-will-think-this-is-cool"-ish. Why can't Japanese developers just make a mature story? The item management is also awful; I don't want 50 new pieces of gear/weapons after each mission, and the auto-dismantle function seems broken (have set it to dismantle everything below rare, but I still get every rarity each time). Also, each mission is like 2-3 minutes of actual mecha gameplay, whereas it may take up to 30 minutes of just going through dialogue and running around to get to the mission (and the constant dialogue interruptions during the missions don't really help). The mecha gameplay is fun, but the overly lighthearted story is just not having me invested…

Almost forgot the horrendous amount of button presses in the menu. Most games load automatically when pressing "Continue". In this game? Continue -> choose save file -> do you want to load this save? (have to press yes) -> load successful (have to press OK). Or if I press Check Delivery, why do I have to answer "Do you want to check delivery?"?! I already chose Check Delivery! Not to forget the achievements, butron pressing hell. A long time ago I saw that kind of, frankly speaking, incredibly stupid design…

  8. Glad they dialled back how much E. Gadd calls in Luigi 3. Although he’s still a bit full on in that

  9. Splintered Fate is such a fan game, I'm so glad you guys have been championing it because it definitely was not reviewed fairly at the start by most media outlets. Yeah it's extremely influenced by Hades, but like . . . Hades is an amazing game lol. Plus when you add in co-op it has an element that Hades doesn't. Plus the turtles all play quite differently which makes it fun to bounce around between them and try them all out.

My only complaint is how the story ends is a bit underwhelming, but maybe there's DLC on the way?

  10. What I love about your reviews is it’s catered to Switch players. I think the gaming community in general always assumes that every gamer has a home console, handheld, pc. But some of us only have a Switch. We already know what to expect performance wise, graphics, etc. I have no other modern platforms to play on so it’s good to know if games are playable in Switch or, if we’re lucky, they go beyond playable or what the Switch expectation is.

  11. Ace Combat 7 is amazing. Im on Mission 10 and its just… No, Id say it is pretty much perfect.
Cool story (albeit a bit silly, like old action movies), incredible gfx, extremely fun gameplay (just arcadey enough), and some official military licensed planes to toy with. And a top tier OST.
    Very stable framerate so far.

It has flown into my Switch top 3.

  12. I really appreciate your convo about Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus. Okami is my favourite game and I'm an absolute sucker for that art style. I'm also rubbish at platforming and I made it through the Ori games and Owlboy by the skin of my teeth and with about 300 more gray hairs than when I started. They taught me that as gorgeous and as emotive as a game can get, those punishing platforming sections just are not fun for me, so I'll save my money on Bo.

  13. So darn true about how a sudden difficulty spike might ruin a games experience – went through that recently with Tales of Kenzera: Zau. 'Chase scenes' in games especially annoy me lol. Was totally gonna get Bo but due to your review – might wait and see if the dev 'tweaks' that part!

  14. Please stop. I have sooo many backlogs from recent purchases because everytime I open YouTube, your videos show up first 😅
