I love this shot because it's ordered in who supports Miquella the most

-Leda is obsessed
-Dane is loyal
-Hornsent is loyal and he thinks believes Miquella will help avenge his people
– Freyja is only loyal because she thinks this is what Radahn wants
-Thiollier is only loyal to Miquella's counterpart, St. Trina
-Ansbach is completely against it

Finished the DLC 3 times, have almost 1k hours in the game. Does this trailer now make sense? Nah.

It's frustrating. I'm tired of hearing about vyke or alexander or the marais family or varre. It doesn't matter how many tidbits and side characters we know about when we STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS on a basic level with the main character. I prefer the older games lore because there is actual cartharsis to be had if you try unlike elden ring's vacuous, 'make up your own story' approach.

It's ok to be vague and ambigous about a lot, we like speculating, but not about the critical plot points at least give us that, arrghhh

In all fairness, after having seen what those poeple did to Marika's people, they bought it all on themselves.

idk what's up with Japan, but they make the best story of the fucking millenia, just to ruin with this shit….

What did Marika feel as she walked those steps? Her thoughts? Her prayers?
Did she know she was walking towards an eternal prison? (as St.Trina describes)
The hope she must have had to create a better world with her sacrifice. Her statues are her on a cross the allegories to Christianity are obvious.
But she was not free of the burdens she carried with her from before her ascendancy corrupting over time.
As did the outer god she made the deal with the Greater Will. Forcing her to make vile decisions yet her justified hatred of the hornsent was clearly her own.
We know not how much was her will vs the Greater Will. But from the Minor Erdtree incantation we know that if it was up to her it would be a world filled with golden healing & no death. Naive but admirable.
Marika was not the monster we thought she was so very complicated & troubled but wanted to love & be loved.
I hope she found eternal peace she earned that at the least.
Her sacrifice let us build a new world. One built on her corpse after washing away the old world.

And there she was promising us a thousand year voyage guided by compassion

I love this DLC, but story cutscenes belong INSIDE the game. None of this appears in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Why wasn't this the intro to the dlc? The long loading screen after touching the withered arm was so unceremonious

They totally failed and fucked up the DLC and I'm pissed. What a pointless sidequest this overhyped DLC turned out to be.

Seeing 1:14 turn out to be Romina is cool

After beating the DLC… still don't understand the story trailer.

How about they just tell the story in the fucking game.
