Can the RTX 3060 play the latest games in 2024?

I bought a used 3060 12GB for $180 last year with 2 years warranty left. I paired it with 10105F and playing at 1440p 🙂

I will go with Rtx 3060 or Rtx 4060 ?

I live in morocco and im still confused on what to buy, its worth 285$ on amazon but with 48$ shipping it hits the 330$ mark and if i wanna buy it from a gaming store here were i live it costs 3499mad wich transfers to 349 in us dollars, not sure if its worth the money or not specially when AMD is almost no where to be found here in morocco and it just costs the same on amazon if we include the shipping cost, why are the prices even simillar its a 3rd world country i live in ☠️

Nowadays we cant even play at constant 60fps on 1080p games at high settings on RTX3060 12gb. Shame on you Nvidia and all these AAA videogame industries. Its a disgusting marketing strategy and we keep on falling for it. We are spending our hard earned money blindly just to play upscaled 720p games in 2024.

thanks for the tip about turning off nVidia Relex, also now they have FSR3 FG for RTX 3060. i have to set vsync to half refresh rate for it to stop stuttering. i have 144hz monitor.

i bought mine for around 274 us dollars (converting from my countries currency), paired up with a ryzen 5600 and i think it was a great deal! playing demanding games isnt my goal, i would rather dip into programs like blender and davinci resolve and maybe play some indie titles. from all the nvidia gpus out there i think the rtx3060 is the perfect one for the casual consumer

What's also interesting here is that in your 'Don't Buy Until You See This! RTX 4060 vs RTX 3060 12GB in 2024' video you show that on the RTX 4060 you can play with very high settings at native 1080p with no upscaling and still keep around 60 fps on that card. So at least in this game the RTX 4060 is a good ties up VS the RTX 3060.

bro 40 to 50+ fps is fine for any game í say in my case í got pc to replace console í play console my whole life you hardly get lag even at 30 fps so why the fuk do people want like 70 fps or 80 fps or 100 fps dang picky babys

with AMDs FSR 3.1 out and horizon forbidden west got patched I made my old GTX 1070 playable at 1440p. using FSR 3.1 upscaling at performance preset, AMD framegeneration on and a combination of medium settings the game played at mostly above 60 fps and looked and felt quite good. Would be nice to see you retest this RTX 3060 with AMDs framegen in new horizon forbidden west

The RTX 4060/4060ti will get lower fps than this card because these games use more than 8GB of Vram most of the time, and the 4060 will suffer because of it’s 8GB limit

When you said in 1080p the cpu doesn't matter because the 3060 is the limiting factor… I laughed my pants off

It's a decent low-end card for 1080p@60fps gaming.

From Gtx 970 to Rtx 3060 12gb

back in 2023 i upgraded from gtx 1060 6gb to rtx 3060 12gb and my pc spces r amd ryzen 5 2600x and 32gb 3000 ddr 4 ram

Alienware aurora r3, Gtx 980, cpu i7 3600 oc to 3.9, very high settings ,3640×2160, no Ray 32 inch monitor, tracing, runs horizon zero dawn game nicely

I have a 3060 as well but the frames really tank in helldivers 2 when theres 4 players with tons of automatons, explosions etc to 15-20fps at times and others with even faster setups have been experience those massivw drops.this js on 1080p. I've tried low, medium, high and ultra and it seems to get worse after recent updates

If you are playing with Gsync I think it's ok to have some lows of 45fps like when you were looking at the foliage, as long as the frame times are consistent and not stuttering, for me personally that wouldn't bother me.

I Don't mind if my PC preforms like a PS5 for example 🤷‍♂

I am a guy with an extremely high tolerance to play games in 30fps, so seeing that I could boot up games like HDII or even Horizon on max settings, which both are VERY demanding games and easily get above 40fps WITHOUT DLSS makes me extremely happy, 3060 as of right now is truly the best GPU you can own as a casual gamer, it's affordable and is a phenomenal successor to GTX 1060
