In ign’s review, you need to know journey to the west to fully understand the story of black myth wukong is one of the cons. I wonder what ign comments on that Faye and kratos’s son is named loki and the game assumes everyone knows what it means (and all those background knowledge of ragnarok. While they think it’s not appropriate to assume gamers know zhu bajie, considering zhu bajie is 1 of the 4 main characters in the most famous novel in Chinese history. I don’t see any reason other than that one game is based on Norse mythology while the other is based on Chinese mythology. According to all these, may I consider ign (who talks about diversity all the time) racism? I am serious. The purpose of making Black myth wukong is for all gamers who love Chinese mythology and journey to the west. If you don’t know anything about the novel but you are curious about the game, you are very welcomed to play, but it doesn’t mean that requiring a basic knowledge of the novel and Chinese mythology is the sin of the game.

The short explanation for the wukong reviews so far:

Wukong's low metric score was mostly cause by some unbelievably woke reviews, there's like dozens Media blaming wukong for not being gender diverse enough and giving it 60. So we know that this metric is straight up bull shit, no body should treat them seriously.

Yet it's important to note that although IGN didn't blame wukong for being woke less. They were also being extremely unfair to wukong, for being bias towards it's narrative and the culture. IGN had reason to take away one point from wukong because some bug they encountered. There's indeed few bug in the game mostly related to translation errors and opening chest. Something that game science acknowledge and currently they're working on fixing it. Almost no game is perfect, so that's acceptable.

But everything else they mentioned is total bull shit. Wukong totally don't deserve a 8 based on the reason they point out in the reviews. Apparently IGN could not understand the story, because they know nothing about journey to the west before starting the game. He believes game science needs to explain the whole book to him in the game. Bitch i don't know any god of war characters when i started, but i never blamed them for not explaining these western mythology to me. Somehow for Chinese mythology that's a sin?

No souls game ever had a proper storyline. Elden ring and dark souls has one of the most confusing story telling ever, most people finishing the game had no idea what's going on. Unless they go back and read every source in the game. Somehow IGN never blame from software for lack of guidance, how is this not bias?

Sweet Baby Inc demanded and extortionist payment of seven million dollars from Black Myth Wukong developers, this would afford them access to their monopoly over "video game journalists," this extortion would give the developers endless praise of their game but at the direct cost of their game too, seeing how the developers would have to change many things about their game to meet the demands of those that extorted them.

What Sweet Baby Inc and their fellow criminal bodies doing identical criminal practices, their crimes must be exposed, investigated, audited and likely prosecute those violating the law. They demanded 7mil or they'd write hit pieces about their product from the monopoly of "journalists" to damage any hopes of making profit, or that was always the purpose of this racketeering model ran by Communists and exactly why Sweet Baby Inc's actions here require investigation and for government to break up this criminal monopoly that is nothing more than extortionist behavior, which is criminal.

This is an Anti-Trust action that government must intervene on seeing how it's already gone this far and destroyed many prior companies hopes to profit off having their product hit the market, but now that such extortionist agencies are colluding and perverting those products with their regressive ideology, it's already gone too far and these extortionists should have to pay back every penny they've stolen and likely be prosecuted as who knows just how much profit they've cost the companies that bent the knee to these bigoted race hustlers!!
