Barbie's original design was based on a German adult gag-gift escort doll named Lilli, not a dentist or a surgeon, an Olympian gymnast, a pet stylist or an ambassador for world peace. And she certainly wasn't a toy for little girls. A sex doll with idealized features actually negatively impacts young girls' self-perception and body image.
This trailer made me sad the way we have to fight for literally everything. Black Barbie is great and all but the truth of reality and hate, is just so sad.
