When people got pissed enough because they claimed ASA would be free as well as the DLC maps then turned around and said they'd now both cost money, there was enough backlash to get them to make the DLC maps free again, but they counter it by adding DLC that gives you an entirely different game experience and overpowered items that are more or less QoL that already belongs. They tried to justify trying to charge for ASA by saying they put more work into it with more new features and things than they anticipated. The DLC they charge for should be the standard modified experience so it's not just literally a purchasable reskin which for a game like ASE still isn't justified. If you try to justify giving something a price because it's legitimately different, this is the content that should already be part of it, not sleezy P2W DLC, end of story.
I’m still very hyped for the Aberration despite the current state of the game.
