Personally, I don’t think this makes much sense as a way to make Eyes of Ender harder to get.

Some people who are saying that this would be problematic forget about the new explorer maps for every structure. However, Trial chambers are a bit too rare as is, so maybe it’d be better if it was something from archeology, or maybe a new item that is only found in trail ruins.

I think it’s better to have trial chambers and ancient cities be optional, as Minecraft is more about being a sandbox game without much of a progression system, so forcing people who want to beat the game to go to these difficult structures would kind of mess up the proper point of Minecraft

And make it way harder in Bedrock

You realize the wither and warden are way stronger than the dragon right

instead of the prismarine shard, it should be a prismarine crystal giving it another use, and I think the echo shard is a bit too much.

Counter argument. How about we just don’t? Yeah it’s a nice idea, but some people go their whole play through of a world without coming across most of these structures. Hell, I know I’ve spent days worth of hours trying to find a Nether Fortress and still never found one only to say “fuck it” and either stop playing on that world or turn on commands to use cheats to find one.

I think this would be nice but more difficulty based like easy it stays the same recipe but normal-hard should be the one you showed for a better experience, but that's my honest take 😀

Well now you need to add an item to locate or find those structures easier, or just make the structures spawn alot more

Replace the echo shard with amethyst so it can be water, earth, fire and air

Mods like this one makes me wish Mojang would grow balls and change old parts of the game a bit

think it would be cool if there were 4 different kinds of eyes (one type of each side of the portal. example one side are blaze ender eyes one side is wind ender eyes exc.) so that you still have to explore but it doesn’t feel like a chore.

Idk if this is also for fabric but there is an amazing mod called "End remastered" which makes it instead of 1 endee pearl, there are 15 ender pearls which some are found in structures or can be crafted

I feel like this could be problematic as you can look for countless hours and never ever find neither a fortress or any of the structures needed for this

Something like this needs to be in the base game. It make you explore so many more aspects of the game and I love that.
