I'm happy they're making the preorder animals available! That should finally fix the issue that they're really hard to find in the trade centre, and that it's hard to find new homes for the ones born in my zoos. More players who have access to them are good for everyone who preordered the game on console!

I would like to think that Planet Zoo PC is going down with a bang! Meaning that we could get a Zookeeper Selection pack. How about guest interaction stations, playgrounds, interactive zoo-maps to navigate through your park. But also animals that are highly requested such as parrots, pelicans, owls, the Masai giraffe, walrus or the tree kangaroo. But I would also like to see more enrichment items and different feeding stations for animals, and how about animal signs for animals we have in game, the aardvark, the deluxe animals (which people payed extra for) or the pangolin. Endless possibilities!

They really don't unlock a whole lot at those Frontier Unlocks do they? I think for PZ pc edition they'll do a small update and maybe an animal in November while making an announcement for a pack coming early/mid December.

There’s a rumour that pz2 that animals will attack keepers and guests if they are not happy and not looked after properly. As frontier is testing the waters with the drowning animation in pc2. Also I think this last pack frontier is doing a lot updating to the koalas and some base game animals to make the less cartoony

Do you think Planet Zoo and Frontier will continue the tradition of new animals for the game's anniversary?

I'm largely indifferent to a new DLC pack for Planet Zoo. Not that I wouldn't want more stuff, but I'm still working on finishing my first zoo. So, yeah I'm just sitting there thinking, why would I want more stuff when I haven't made the most with what I have yet. 😂 But one day, my Cloud 9 Zoo will be completed.

We are all expecting the last DLC, which we call: Zookeeper Collection Animal Pack. In my opinion, the most likely release date is November 5th – Planet Zoo's 5th anniversary, a great time to end support for this version of the game.

Based on how the Barnyard Animal Pack was released, I think the release of this DLC could look like this:

October 28, 2024 – DLC Announcement

October 30, 2024 – Frontier Live Unlocked #10

November 5, 2024 – DLC Release (5th Anniversary)

We know it will be an animal pack, but how big?

The Animal Pack usually has 8 animals, Barnyard showed that there could be 7+ building pieces, while Grasslands showed 8, but one animal has 5 variants (butterflies). Since this is the last DLC, I think it will be bigger as usual. One scenario is to combine 2 standard DLC packs (animal pack + building pieces), which gives us 13 animals (then the game would end with 200 animals).

The most wishful is to combine two standard animal packs 8+8 (16 animals) dream!!!!

The more the better

As a result, I think we can expect 13-16 animals, unless Frontier goes the easy way and makes 8 of them, which would be very unsatisfacing….

With the backyard animal pack in April, changes were made to the Planco dictionary, adding the words:

"Goodfellow"

I think these 4 animals will definitely be in the next DLC. What about the rest? In my opinion, these will be animals from high places on the meta-wishlist. I chose these:

With the game coming to an end I can honestly say I’m happy and content even if there’s no additional pack. I don’t feel the devs inherently owe me anything … but looking at the 200$ish I’ve spent on the game (new packs on release + base game)… I don’t want to buy another pack.
I don’t. I think I’ve spent more than enough. I wish they’d just give us something as a thank you.

It’s one of my favorite games but it’s on the level of sims with how ridiculous the pricing is.

I'm only slightly biased about the pre-order animals becoming available as DLC.
It's great that everyone gets the chance to enjoy them, but it is not a nice move to first appeal to people's fomo,and then sell the stuff anyway. … Mostly happy for the people that chose to wait and see how the console edition would perform. (Especially after the C:S II debacle)

What I'm pissed off about though is that those animals disappeared from my franchise zoo and animal storage (and market). It's probably by accident but, as you might recall, the Komodo dragon enclosure was the first I built to celebrate the birth of the little dragon at Blijdorp. (Have you seen how much it has grown the last few months?) And it took quite a while to collect a decent batch of Thomson Gazelles.

The Arid and Tropical packs are nice. Naturally there can't be real excitement because we already know everything about those 14 DLCs that we'll get throughout the first year. The only surprise is the order in which they are released.

With the announcement of PlanCo2 I'm not surprised that there is no news about new zoo DLCs for PC. Frontier want's all attention on PlanCo2.

A thought that just popped in my mind: What if they are going to sync Zoo DLCs for PC and console? We both get the next DLC somewhere after next april? Frees up their resources for PC2, and keeps it in the spotlight. … But only makes sense when it will not be the last zoo DLC.

Anyone upset that the pre order exclusive animals are now available for more players are being very selfish. We are still getting all the DLC’s at a much bigger discounted rate so getting the season pass is definitely still worth it in the long run.

I am SO excited to be able to build for the Lar Gibbon! I love making brachiation structures! And the new tropical scenery! Very excited for this new bundle!

@DeLadysigner a question what would be better for the game? More packs with animals that aint ingame yet ( birds fish plenty of species to think off ) or a Planet Zoo 2 ( but what would happen to the PZ 1 community then )

The lqa file still hasn’t been updated on steam, until that happens I doubt the pack will be coming anytime soon. If we don’t get anything in September, I’m convinced the pack is dropping on the anniversary.

I was pretty disappointed there was no Planet Zoo PC announcement this month. I think that is pretty telling. I think everyone was right that they’re wrapping up development for Planet Zoo. Especially with Planet Coaster 2 coming.

I really hope we get a great DLC pack for pc, it has taken a little longer than usual releases… So maybe Frontier is working on Something big?? Fully aquatics maybe, or flying birds finally??

Tropical pack and arid animal pack are both one of my favourites!!!!
