Been trying to install minecraft for the past week.

Whenever I attempt to install it it just says something like “something happened on our end”(when installing from the MS store and I’ve also done this with both the “minecraft launcher” and “minecraft: java & bedrock edition for PC”) then with this method it says something like “we couldn’t install the launcher” then has the number “80070490” appear(I assume it’s some error code). I’ve tried many different methods and done many different things and none of them have worked, and yes I did what it said for how to fix whatever the error code is but that didn’t work either 😭

I was able to install the legacy launcher so, thankfully, I can atleast play java but I have both bedrock and Java and atleast want to be able to have the option to play both instead of being stuck with one!

Also all other games and apps, on the MS store, seem to install just fine with only minecraft being the one thing I can’t install!

Help! Anyone! PLEASE!

Edit: Okay, I just realised it might be something to do with the xbox app. I saw another guide that installed minecraft through the MS store and it made him use the xbox app. My xbox app has decided not to work properly and has given me the error code “0x80073cf9”. It needs to update but for some reason it won’t! I actually tried fixing the app whilst trying to get minecraft the past week because I think you can get it on the xbox app too making me think “hey the MS store seems to be broken so I’ll just side step it with the xbox app” but now I’m starting to think that the MS store(and maybe the method in the video) uses the xbox app for some reason to install minecraft. I’ve already attempted fixing, uninstalling/reinstalling, repairing, troubleshooting, turning off and on the bloody thing and nothing seems to work 😭 I just want to be given both bedrock and java and not just be forced to java!
