Woke up looking forward to a board review.

I pictured trying to explain this game to my parents and I almost had a panic attack

You raise some very good points. I also got Magic the Gathering vibes from this, mainly because of the interactions with your opponents' boardstate. And yes it does seem like a perfectly "fine" game, but I'm not sure if I want to invite friends over just for playing this. The need of a point tracker is also a very good point.

I don't know If you already did this Game but maybe Look at super Dungeon Explore. It's Like a simple D&D Kind of Game and Looks Like Maple Story.
