There is probably a massive recession ahead in the world economy. Bungie can't keep the older people that aren't doing relevant development, so artists and older employees got sacked. The massive hirering prior to this was to get all the actual young talent they could find to their company. Pete Parsons job was to deliver the 10 year live service called Destiny 'til its finished, and he DID JUST THAT, regardless if some people think he is a jerk. You have to also get rid of the employees that cost way too much and only keep the talented new young people for the low budget future that is going to get rocky and uncertain. Why do you think everybody wants to copy Warframe and keep their games free all of a sudden? The world wide consumer is not going to have as much purchasing power in the near future anymore! Lay the higher probability of a 3rd world war breaking loose and its going to be a miracle if the gaming industry survives. THEY ALL KNOW THIS. THEIR ANALYSTS KNOW THIS. The average JOE with 80 in IQ doesn't, and ends up crying about companies beeing mismanaged while they are going AS PLANNED behind the scenes.
