Peter Jackson presents a groundbreaking journey back to Middle-earth through the eyes of legendary director Kenji Kamiyama.
#LOTR The War of the Rohirrim – only in theaters Christmas.
New Line Cinema’s original anime feature “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” returns audiences to the epic world brought to life in “The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy, based on the revered books by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Under the direction of award-winning filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama (the “Blade Runner: Black Lotus” and “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” TV series), the talented voice cast is led by Brian Cox (“Succession”) as Helm Hammerhand, the mighty King of Rohan; Gaia Wise (“A Walk in the Woods”) as his daughter Héra; and Luke Pasqualino (“Snowpiercer”) as Wulf. Miranda Otto, who delivered an unforgettable, award-winning performance in “The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy, reprises her role as Éowyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan, who serves as the tale’s…
Put a chick in it and make it lame
Oh! Another fan fiction! Let's go and butcher Tolkien's writings again and make way for another girl boss/strong female character. God, I'm so tired of all those "strong women" invented for the non-existent "modern audience". Yawn!!!
Reminds me of the Princess Mononoke ghibli movie.
Another slip of poison, another venomous bite, and the cultural bedrock chipped some more… we do live in evil times.
I am SO unconvinced by this
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Girlboss
"Let's dislike this trailer to The Fires of Morder. Maybe then Warner bros will listen."
"Peter Jackson presents a groundbreaking journey back to Middle-earth"
LoL, even the first sentence of the description is a lie.
Having the Jackson movies footage in this trailer is so lame. Own your thing, market it properly
/spit
This is going to be a trainwreck.
Good.. now make Robert's Rebellion
Had they created another Arwen rather than nowadays 'girlboss' and not elevated her to the narrative's epicentre, I would have felt a greater sense of contentment and fulfilment. As a woman who feels in eternal gratitude with Tolkien's literary genius, his works having served as an inspiration for my own journey as a folklorist and translator, I must confess that this is both profoundly disappointing and exceedingly vexing, not to mention, taxing. A more refined and feminine voice, imbued with the wisdom characteristic of Tolkien's prose, would have been, in my humble opinion, a most welcome addition.
This is so hilarious, couldn’t stop laughing, finally a comedy for the masses.
I love the part where they expected a modern audience only to be subverted by common sense.
💩💩💩💩
Why do you keep inserting garbage into franchises that suffer not your trash?
I NEED SILMARION VERSION OF THIS!!!!!
How is this lame pathetic garbage groundbreaking? Lore breaking maybe….making up an uninspired cringe story to milk Tolkiens legacy. This should be illegal.
Focusing on a character who doesn't have a name in the books… Yup welcome to 2024.
Who asked for this and why is a women the main character
Guess which one of them spend a billion dollars???))))
❤
they literally can not help themselves can we.,
"let do this story, ignore the men, make a woman who had nothing to do with anything the central character…."
im happy for them to do this, in their own stories. but they can't create their own stories, they have to destroy the works of others, and claim destruction is creation.
I remember reading Tolkien and see two lines about helms doughter… such an interesting carakter 😂😂😂😂 you dei guys should called made up female strong boss afrodite and why is called war of the rohirim when you put strong female “ lost female tribe “ 😅😅 disgrace
Hmpf… What about some muscle for the swordfighting woman? And sorry, lipgloss and mascara? This feels so 80s and I dont know if thats a good thing. And don't get me started on the old "she was the only one around with hair true red like fire" trope.
looks like they went the mary sue route with this one
Members berries, girlboss pls dont be like rings of power
What is this… Was expecting a new movie, not a cartoon..
Girl boss incoming.
Can she out boss Rings of Power though?
She is not named in books BECAUSE SHE DID NOTHING!
This did seem to suggest girl boss does the impossible over and over again which gave me Amazon's Galadriel rewrite vibe. The voice acting seemed to be a strong point here and the directing seemed decent. Maybe it's an acceptable release but you're not getting my butt in a seat in the theater.
To hit an ax in the foot.😂😂😂😂😂
I find it strange that the first thing they say is "PETER JACKSON PRESENTS", hoping we will instantly be like, oh great, that means it's going to be as good as the original triology. When he's only down as an excecutive producer. Which means he's got basically no creative imput.
Peter jackson: "We didnt want to put our baggage into it"
War of the Rohhirim: 😅
Using a completely irrelevant character and turning them into a girlboss protagonist is bad, but the other problem here is that it just doesn't "feel" like the middle-earth we're familiar with. It doesn't have any of the qualities of the original movies, which is what most people want. I think the japanese anime tropes are very poorly suited to portray the european character of the world.
Ahh yes, the classic, I can already tell that if this fails, they will blame men for not wanting to watch a story about a nameless female character taking part in something said character never even mentioned, outshining everyone else despite never being mentioned in the books.
But hey, hope it rides well on that nostalgia as if its not milked enough by talentless hacks.
Another IP butchered to suit the ''modern audience.''
Girl boss the movie. Nerdrotic was right.
Wow, it is that terrible that you have to bait us with the nostalgia first? … And then she does all the same stuff Guyladriel does from Rings of Power? … there is no WAY this will be any good.
