  1. ive been a fan for a really long time now, but that hair style is wild lmao. Jokes aside hope your doin well, great videos

  2. The original Xenogears has in my opinion the best story line, and an awesome battle system. Bury me with a copy.

  3. So glad you mentioned The Legend of The Dragoon! That was my first rpg and my favorite of all time. I really didn't think you were going to mention it. 👍

  4. Back in ‘08 my roommate picks up Lost Odyssey cuz he heard it was like FF7 but “feels new.”

I had no idea that we were about to completely lose ourselves in what would be our favorite turn based RPG video game ever.

  5. Man… how could morrow wind not do it for you… I mean oblivion and Skyrim were all better… but it’s really what kicked off the craze for me

  6. I remember trying Earthbound one time because everything I wanted was already checked out at Blockbuster but I wasn't going to walk away empty-handed. Turned out to be a top 5 game on the SNES for me and I kept checking it out until I beat it. And then checked it out a few more times to beat it again later.

  7. I am actually looking forward to Emio. Games like 428 Shibuya Scramble and Root Letter are some of the best games I have played and of course Tex Murphy games for the PC.

  8. Diablo 3 and 4…nooo they were such let down, Diablo 1 was king, such a great atmosphere and story, you cared about the town.

Legend of Dragoon I cant wait to start. I might stop playing Legend of Heroes cold steel series to play it. CS is so boring

  9. The legend of Dragoon was a big one for me, i was absolutely amazed with this game when it came out.

The only one i really liked, that I'm a bit torn about, is Lufia 2. The story was a bit generic, but the thing that did it for me was the ancient cave. The randomized floors and treasures you could take into the main game were epic. Without the ancient cave, i totally get why this game wouldn't have made the cut. But with it, it definitely would have made mine, great list though! (Side note i am talking about the snes version, i think there was a different version on the ds or 3ds)

  10. Including Pokemon as an RPG always feels weird to me, tho logically i know they are…idk. Love the inclusion of Suikoden. The whole series has a special place in my heart, and im still hoping for the 1&2 remake we were teased

  11. Amazing list!
Can't say I could argue much only one I would add that is/was maybe a hidden gem is Valkyrie Profile

  12. Xenosaga 3 was a spectacular game and a very hard to get rare video game. I was lucky enough to get a copy, but it took awhile and I live in chicago. They had places that had 1 copy, but they would be 200 to 300 miles away. So glad I got to experience that game.

  13. There's no way to have a list that represents the top 50 rpgs. A 1980 rpg is just too different than a 2020 rpg. I love rpgs and I don't like the direction they've been taking for the last 15 years. They're more action games with rpg elements.

  14. FF9 was done dirty. It released at the same time as the PS2 but only on original PlayStation. That caused it to be severely under appreciated. It is absolutely a top notch RPG even by golden age standards.

  15. After watching the entirety of this video, the only thing I feel compelled to comment is that…..Star Wars sucks

  16. Hard to believe that in a video titled 'The Top 50 RPGs of All Time,' you don't even give a nod to the grand-daddy of all console RPGs, DragonStomper on the Atari 2600/Starpath Supercharger.
    Unconscionable.

  17. I'm surprised to find no Legend of Legia. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it holds up, had some really fun battle mechanics, and a story that pulled you through to the end.

  18. There is not a single frame you could show from Chrono Trigger that won't bring joy to anyone who has played Chrono Trigger. That game truly was a masterpiece.

  19. The amount of RPGs on the PS1 and PS2 are due to one game and one game only. The greatest game ever made. FINAL FANTASY VII

  20. Brave story for the PSP. if anyone ever reads this comment and has played the game please tell me how awesome it is and how much you love it. One of my favourite games of all time and it just never gets the respect it deserves

  21. Really bummed that not a single mention of Fable is in here, specifically the first 2. Also Eternal Sonata for Xbox360 is highly underrated.
