The current console were suppose to be 4k 60. Im.good on a pro model.

PlayStation is going to wreck everything. This harassment thing is just a waste of money time and everything else like I get it for kids accounts and stuff like that but for adults, we should have the option to be able to turn it off and on because I don’t want that on my PlayStation. People joke around all the time and a lot of my friends like to joke around so if you don’t get it, I guess it’s gonna get ported as harassment and then I’m not gonna be able to hang out with my friends anymore or talk to them or anything else because it’s gonna come off as harassment on the PlayStation thing which is ridiculous.

If they literally choose who I can play games with or not, guess what my PlayStation is going in the trashcan

This a perfect example of why PS remade TLoU and remastered part 2. PS knew the show would draw in new fans who will try out the game if they haven’t already. TLoU is a system seller. So PS was ready. To bad new will play Fallout 76 only to find out it’s not that good.

Regarding the Sony patent the only way I can see them implementing something like that without harsh criticism would be as a parental control option that you have to turn on and is not on by default.

The fact that Plume doesn't understand that this will also result in higher resolutions shows that his technical knowledge of hardware is lacking.

Not every game features RT, so the extra GPU power/ headroom would go to boosting resolution & performance. To top it off the console is said to have an A.I. upscaler, which goes directly to improving image quality/ perceived resolution. Every game will have a higher resolution just by the nature of having a better GPU

Most games are NOT CPU bound, they are GPU bound. That is the very reason that lower the resolution/ dynamic resolutions improve performance in many titles.

Citing the minority of CPU bound games like Dragons Dogma 2, & possibly GTA 6 not being 60fps As an indictment against the PS5 Pro's worth is just foolish.

It's existence isn't based on getting every game to 60fps when they are 30fps on the current gen. 😂 You'd need to double the GPU & CPU's power to do that, & that's essentially an entirely new generation of console

PS5 Pro is pointless. It's going to be the ones who buys every product as long as it has a PS logo on it. Then afterwards they'll cope so hard that the hypocrisy and bias is going to stick out just as bad as someone wearing a banana suit
