I love this animation style SO much. Like I can't even describe it 😭

so i wonder if the eye colors mean something then? it feels like their eyes turn green when they’re in “wonderland”, or at least possibly perceiving their surroundings as such? even when the cat transforms from it’s realistic form into that of his persona in “wonderland”, his eyes also turn green. maybe the green could indicate psychosis, a shared delusion, or medication?

also, i could be reading into this, but i like how in what i assume is that “wonderland” scene (with the table in the overrun garden), the architecture surrounding them appears like the dilapidated remains/chaotic recreation of wherever cordelia’s first scene was as a child.

and i feel like im seeing some nutcracker elements in here.. which is also one of my favorite stories as a kid. (clara and her nutcracker wind-up music box thing, the mouse king tarot cards). so cool.

the atmosphere of hopelessness is simply mesmerizing, I am delighted
