CLASSIC Pokémon games are coming to Switch… here’s why

My dream is for Game Freak to make another Pokémon game using 2d sprites likes Bravely Default.

Nintendo already hinted at the Time at which Switch Online will be shut down. So they will most likely start over again for their Digital Retro Games. What i hope it that they will however release some Games still on Card which can be played on both Systems. Kinda like there are still PS4 Games coming out. There would be no reason to make it only for the next System since it wont look any better than it would on the old one. Also they can sell more Copys this way to everyone who did not get the new system.

At the very least bring over the final/3 versions. Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, etc

I don’t believe Pokemon would bring Colosseum & XD Gale of Darkness over to the Switch.

Despite me willing to immediately purchase them upon announcement.

If they legit remade Gen 1-4 remake with better graphics but not 3D I’ll pay big bucks

The underlying problem is there’s so much the company has to do,which means many years of waiting would ensue. If Nintendo truly is going to release a newer generation of the switch then there’s no reason to rush the classics out on the current switch anytime soon as it could be on the newer generation many years later.

I don’t think they’ll release them if they don’t have HOME integration and I personally don’t think they should without it either.

I know that they want be coming to the Switch. You know why? Because that would be smart and make sense, and Nintendo's allergic to being smart and making sense.

Nintendo have already confirmed in the past they are not ditchong NSO platform. Thus Ninty and GF stand to gain a lot from rereleasing on VC to take advantage of the massive installbase while they are busy focusing on next gen titles.

Ive been predicting this (and been wrong) for years bc its always happened but now more than ever and with the well running dry they should lean more heavily on retro Pokemon.
