Portugal team has basically university players (amateurs) with some professionals who play in French second division teams. Rugby is not that famous in Portugal. Soccer and roller skate hockey being their main sports. Difficult to see Portuguese rugby ever reach 6nations european level. Good and brave performance by the Lobos (Wolves).

It's because of bullshit like Andre Esterhuizen's yellow card upgraded to red for, in my opinion, a good, hard tackle (like it would have been in rugby in the 70' and 80's) that I really don't make any special effort to watch rugby anymore; today is Wednesday, 4 days after the game and I'm only watching hightlights here on You Tube now.
Rugby's stupid "head contact" rule/law obsession is killing the game. 😫

i think there should be a 2 teir nations championship… so all the two tier teams take on the world cup winners (not their 1st team line up) and in their country, best out of 12. 2 from Europe, 2 from asia, 2 from south and north America 2 from Africa 2 from pacific islands. So if South Africa wins there still 2 nations from Africa and so onwards.

I thought this would be a blow out seeing as the B team the springboks named was actually bringing back internationals like Am, Reinack and Mapimpi. Portugal did incredibly well to get their own scores.
