Horror is more often considered to be related to the gore value. This is where a lot of game and movie creators tend to mess up. Horror itself isn't specifically about gore. Creating a scary thing to scare the audience. The idea of something scary is way more scarier compared to the actual thing. Which is why visual novel style games can be a lot scarier compared to 3D roaming game. Considering it is still an 18+ game.. I doubt this is a cutesy detective game.

However the expectations this would be a 3D game is weird to me. Considering initial visual was very much in style of a visual novel full screen art. I was expecting it to be a visual novel type game.
