  1. I just have watched this movie…it's crap I don't recommend it to anyone to sum up it was about her father always supporting her and how she get married without him knowing the guy to clear him out from guilt of her mistake . Back to black never sung on this movie it's not documantry I was so desspointed nothing to know about this icon in this movie just that her fathed was supportive through her carrer and her husband tried to use her by marring her to pay his loans.

  2. Kind of gross how they're still trying to make money off this woman's pain.

  3. i would watch it.. im not disrespecting her or her work in anyway.. i think she wanted to be famous.. but only in small crowds

  4. This is movie was so bad. Scenario was cringeworthy… And who was the genius behind the idea of actress singing Amy's songs?

  5. Depression is an serious illness, Pete Doherty song about Amy, flags of the old regime, is pure genius

  6. Why is ? And who is the person to name this "back to black" ? And the rehab song is the focal point discusting ….

  7. I watched it… seems to me that they looked no further than the tabliods for source material. Smh. They're cashing in on all these “celeb stories” movies… elvis, elton john, queen… each one worse than the other.

  8. The acting was okay but this movie was pretty bad overall. Very lazy, and likely just a cash grab, It just didn't unfold naturally like it could have. It's hard to fit this story in a 2 hour window so I can't find it in me to critizie every detail. I will say, I liked how they ended the movie, but will leave out spoilers. As a huge fan of hers I will say if you need her story just watch the documentary. Skip this, Rotten Tomatoes was very true, and I don't say that often.

  9. This is to shed light into her life, and explain many things to people, people like myself. We knew her voice, but we didn’t know her background, and what she battled. Love almost broke me, and I related to the love she felt for that man. A man who did NOT deserve her, but she would do anything for that high. I know how co-dependent you can get in a relationship, and I felt it. These actors were amazing, Marisa Abela was perceptive, and she gave it her all, and she was perfect. Watching Amy in other videos, I wanted to match everything, and to the touch of her hair, how Amy would play with her hair when she sang, to when she said “I love you” to him with her face and her fingers, the way she moved, everything was spot on. Really enjoyed this movie.

When I remembered my 7 years in that painful relationship, of drugs, violence, and crazy adventures, I felt Amy’s loss. When you know that person is not good for you, but it’s become a bad habit you cannot seem to break.

All the actors did an amazing job. ❤

  10. I watched this film. Now I am a die heart amy winehouse fan, I've seen as many live performances documentaries repeatedly because I genuinely wanted to get to know who she was behind her music. I could accurately say my review of the movie from what I've already researched about her. This movie was overall okay but I couldn't help but notice is was very much zoned in on her turbulent romance with blake. I wish we would have been able to see more of her background and more of her inner circle because they left people out of the movie. And i couldnt help but to ask myself how accurate is the personality of amy being showed on this film compared to who she really was. I would have love to hear a better voice audio as well because in my honest opinion the singing in this movie was not honorable to Amy's voice as we know it to be. Amy's biography should have been treated a whole lot better then what they came up with involving this film. But nevertheless amy will forever be admired and loved by many❤

  11. Couldn’t watched past 15 minutes. I just couldn’t get into it and I love Amy’s music.
The documentary in the other hand was very well made.

  12. In the beginning of the movie. When she sang. She sounded nothing like Amy Winehouse. Amy had a very powerful Beautiful soulful voice.

  13. When I was younger My parents put on the song back to black in the car. It was my favorite since.
    To mysterious.
I glad I saw the movie. So understanding, inspiring, and nostalgic. 🥹

  14. I watched this movie two days ago and I’ll say this: I don’t think this film needs to exist. I think the documentary better captured who Amy was and how she was treated and how it affected her. However, I will say that I think Marisa Abela was absolutely amazing as Amy Winehouse. I read that she did all of her own singing for this film (in contrast to other biopics where the actors voice is mixed with the actual counterparts) and it’s honestly so intriguing to watch her performance. Imo, she was the only part of the film that I enjoyed. Other than the positive, the film was mostly dull to me. I honestly don’t remember anything else except for the performance of the lead. In some aspects, a biopic could work. I just don’t think it can when there’s a documentary that better captures who the person was. I don’t say this change anybody’s opinion (they’re my thoughts), but I still think that the reason for this film to made was just to exist. That’s what I got out of it.

  15. people forget how much they criticised and bullied her and laughed at her. The real fans would never watch this badly cast junk.

  16. Fran Scrooge is the cause of Ebenezer’s suffering. I hope this clarifies things for The Prince of Hollywood

  17. The British Press , specifically the Paparazzi. Quite a Body Count you've racked up.

  18. This is what they do with celebrities who’s life’s ended sadly and they just make a movie but make it dramatic and add a lot of love scenes like no just stop

  19. Popular because of a song about refusing to go to rehab. She should have gone. I wonder how many addicts refused rehab because of that stupid song.

  20. Great movie 🖤A sweet and soulful love letter to Amy that portrays a highly talented artist with a superb cast.
