I personally think Nintendo isn't showing the docking station on purpose. I believe the dock is special and adds the gimmick Nintendo is known for

I like the bigger size. I agree that the current joycons feel tiny. I hope they add some shape to the back of the new ones instead of leaving them flat.

The theory is that the console might actually be able to stream to the dock, meaning DS, 3DS and Wii U titles could be played with two screens and that's what the 'C' button is AKA 'Connect'.

My money still says the joycons will go away and the switch will be a big switch lite style.

8:48 A note on 3D printing from somebody with a 3D printer: I do agree that the photos we saw would be difficult to pull off with only 3D printing. However: The prints shown here looks like a fairly low quality setting. She was doing it just to show it off and with full acknowledgement that it was a 3D print. Somebody who is actually trying to fool people would do it at a high quality setting and probably sand and paint it so you can't see the artifacts from the 3D printing process. Resin printing is also an option, which allows for a lot more detail.

I think an 8" display is pushing it a little. Theres a reasons the original joycons are so small. Nintendo reaches a broader demographic than any other gaming manufacturer. They reach the ages of the younger generation as well as the older. My personal opinion, would a 8" display and bigger joycons fit better in my hands…absolutely. But 7" was the sweetspot between the younger kiddo's, and the adults.

My VR theory is seeming more likely. Top USB-C for a camera and *motion tracking*? Or maybe if the camera faces away from the player, it'll support AR.

Anyone who has an issue with its size can just wait for the Switch 2 Lite so it's not a problem. I think the bigger screen size is nice because the original was too tiny.

Imagine the Switch with PS4 Quality graphics at 60 fps on the go 😮. I had a PS5 and I sold it and the PS5 Pro is not worth it imo. But if the Switch 2 is Backwards compatible definitely a first day buy. I rather support fun quality games then a just a graphics show case from the other companies 😂

If that's the next Nintendo Switch, I'm looking forward to it. This is coming from someone who owns a small-screen Nintendo Switch.

I kinda feel like 7 or 7.5 would be perfect, but once I play on the 8, I'm sure I'll like it. Hopefully it isn't too heavy or awkward to hold up. I'll also get aftermarket joy cons that have a D pad… even more weight… I am excited for this though. 1080 handheld with 4k on tv with Nintendo level art and resolution tricks…. gonna be great!
