I kinda need one of these. I'm old, haven't had a gaming console since xbox one. been looking at getting a Switch since I don't wanna get to crazy with games; I want those fun, cute, and easy rolling Nintendo games (but with the option to get down with some more crazy games)…. plus I just really love Mario Kart. These new graphics sound amazing. Maybe I'll grab a used Switch light to hold me over until the Switch 2 comes out.

I do NOT want magnetic joycons. The small detent that prevents the joycons from sliding out (unless the release button is pushed) was incredibly soft and broke the very first time I dropped my switch which wasn’t a far drop either. Now the joycon can freely slide out even if the release button isn’t pushed. There is no possible way that a magnet would be stronger at holding the joycons on but at least it would reduce that horrid wiggle they have and make it so they mechanism that holds them on can’t technically break

This is the perfect switch 2, my only concern is nintendo isn't trying to hire you yet.

Magnetic joy cons would be cool only because it would make for a sleeker handheld if I want to leave the joycons at home and travel with an 8bitdo zero 2, but it could also lead to Nintendo selling the joycons separately as it would be cheaper for them to include a pro controller.

The big disappointment is that they are still a generation behind. Power comparable to a PS4 Pro? We're on PS5 and if PS6 drops they will be 2 genes behind.

If it were up to me I'd nickle and dime everything to be able to get more power without changing the price.

If the technology was better, I'd love a 3ds style flip device with the same type of bent screen from those samsung flip phones.

I watched the video but still have no idea why we would want magnetic connections. Rails work great.

Magnet attachment points are stupid, simple glitch can make you drop the system or never attach due to a bug

1. Even the most powerful PC handhelds on the market can barely match the PS4 Pro, let alone GAME IN 4K. There's NO way the next Nintendo handheld is gonna have 4k. PS5 can't even do native 4k at 30fps FFS. You can barely get competent playtime from a 1080p display on a handheld. I hope to god they keep it 720p. Power efficiency and performance is my top priority

2. No way it'll have Ray Tracing in games, unless it's EXTREMELY light. The Steam Deck OLED and other handhelds can barely handle it, and even if they can, you're not getting a lot of playtime out of your portable device. That'll BURN thru your battery like no tomorrow. It'll probably be a docked-only feature if at all, and they better put in a VERY good cooling system

3. I was afraid they might not release an OLED variant right off the start. OLED is the best possible display for battery-powered devices. I'd rather not have to wait years for an OLED variant to drop smh

4. The magnetic connector will likely use a similar rail design to guide and lock it into place. Using metal buttons it's rly dumb. It'll likely slot right into a hole and magnetize into place

5. Not a fan of colored buttons. Unless it's like a color palette like the 2DSXL, I'd rather just keep it minimal and simple. I hope they have those options. A black and white set up

6. Pls no LEDs or RGB. I value battery life more than useless lights. I can understand for notifications, but not when they're always on or incorporated into the game. It's just a waste of battery
