BREAKING: Apple is FINALLY Doing it!

Apple could take the design of their current Apple TV, upgrade it with a more powerful A18 Pro chip, and introduce it as something like the Apple Game Console. Itā€™s an exciting idea, especially when you consider that Apple once dipped its toes into the gaming console market back in the mid-1990s with a device called the Pippin. You might not have heard of it, and thereā€™s a good reason for that.

But thatā€™s not the only interesting part of the story. The Pippin didnā€™t really take off and was quickly forgotten, which makes Appleā€™s potential return to the gaming world all the more intriguing. Could they learn from past mistakes and create something truly groundbreaking this time?

  1. The thing is. Iā€™m a Mouse and Keyboard gamer. I hate the controllers. Itā€™s not fast enough to move on certain games. But thatā€™s me. Thatā€™s why Iā€™m waiting on the new iMac Pro with the M4 AI chip installed.

  2. Here is the thing. Apple might be able to create a console, but it will be as expensinve as their other products that it will be unpractical. I had Macbook Pro M1 (it died) expensive device and its ability to run games were not great. A lot of games not even rendered properly with holes in terrain and characters, weird shadows and lighting. Mind you thats 3k Euro device. So just image the price of this console which would actually able to run those games properly. You'll be pulling dollars/euros from every hole in your body to pay for it. Probably you'd have to sell some of your organs to buy itšŸ¤£

  3. Maybe release an apple silicon powered handheld which wirelessly connects through a high bandwidth signal to a next apple tv style dock with the receiver portion of same chip. The dock should house a more GPU-centric APU chip to enhance the graphics. controllers for handheld should be detachable for motion vr gaming when connected to a vision pro. If i were apple this would be a way to make more money.

  4. If there console is affordable and the games have some kind of a subscription like on Xbox and PlayStation then it might be a gd idea and they work gd on there system then I canā€™t see nothing going wrong but itā€™s how much there going to cost for the console if itā€™s in the same price as any other console then it might be a gd thing for gaming but u need a gd storage and ram then I canā€™t see why it wouldnā€™t work only if they away of running the games through cloud storage then that would work for a small price for storage and the fact u can add more storage if and when required

  5. I love the idea of Apple's Gaming Console. Because Apple has the complexity to simplicity.

  6. There are games already on Apple TV and you can connect a controller. All they need to do is add a more powerful chip and possibly more fans, and then fix their relationship with Epic Games. Boom. Gaming monopoly complete.

  7. In gaming, price/performance ratio is crucial. Now performance is far away from actual consoles, and even there is not any sense in comparing it to PC in the price tag.

  8. Oh my God, yes! Please!!!!!!!

I would love to stick with Apple computers for my music production and still be able to game as well as PC owners. Please please please do this!

  9. You need the M1 Pro chip, Wifi 7, Bt 5.4, HDMI 2.1, DDR 5, 1tb 4.0 Nvme, Display Port 2.0. Add a ATSC 3.0 NextGen. Now you can charge $399

  10. IMO If Apple partners with Nvidia, they can bring a powerful yet affordable gaming console to the market. However they need to carefully plan their console launch with a few good titles, so people have something to keep them entertained for the first 6 months at least.

  11. Why not focus on the Mac Mini as an Apple TV replacement and a gaming console? One device to rule them all.
