It’s not really “more expensive” it’s like saying buying a house is more expensive than renting. Apartment you get only what you pay for, you have restrictions on what you’re allowed to do. Where as a house you have full freedom. PC you have infinitely more game options, more in game options, you’re limited by your bank account, steam and all the other launchers have sales constantly compared to console, if your PC goes bad down the line you replace one part where consoles are usually just broken, if you built a 1000-1500 PC today you wouldn’t have to upgrade for like 10 years
