Important to realize that damaged weapons (especially at their breaking point) do SIGNIFICANTLY more damage. And more important, weapons will NOT break or deteriorate while on the back of a Lynel. So you can get a super-weapon near breaking, and ONLY use it on the Lynel's back.

Use to do that in breath of the wild all the time. I don't think you can do that to the groomed ones in totk though.
