Hyperion Joycon overview: They are very comfortable, have GYRO, Rumble (standard) and a proper D-Pad. Plus they charge normally on the Switch. Great Joycon.

  2. Played through pikmin 3 entirely with my wife. She's not a big video game person, but she bought pikmin 4 and calls me her air strike when the level is too hard.

  3. The e-shop says TMNT is only online coop, you sure its couch? Would love to play it with my wife.

  4. Great video, thank you for the recommendations!
I prefer PlateUp from overcooked as it has progression, it still gets updates and you constantly roast your friends for failing a task 😂

  5. Untitled goose game is great in co-op although it will entertain even in single player. Me and my wife and daughter are currently playing Disney Illusion Island and having a blast. Great couch co-op game. Donald isnt always treated fairly.

  6. Some games I already play with my son. I think you should put Rico in this list as it’s a great game and two players make it like a buddy cop movie. Really great when you have the revive mechanic.

  7. Not that this is REALLY co-op, but Ultimate Chicken Horse is TONS OF FUN with a group of 4. Never see you guys mention it.

  8. My wife is so bad at platforming that It Takes Two was torture for me. We only made it past the first boss.

  9. My son and I just finished Cat Quest 3 playing co op. It was a cool adventure. We got through the main quest in about 7 hours but still had a lot of side content to go through. A tad pricey for the length. But honestly we had such a good time with it I'm not disappointed one bit and I'm certain one of uss will play this again.

  10. More couch coop vids please. I wish a Huntdown 2 was out or atleast in the making, me and my pal have done all difficulty levels, just can't get enough of it, give me anything with 80s/90s vibes 😂

  11. I'm glad I tried the free version on the phone for vampire survivors before committing on the switch. Even discounted it's just not a good game. Sure there is plenty to unlock but it's design is feel bad. I don't want to be forced to do x runs in a location because of a silly time limit that I could have done it all in one go. I'm not dodging anything after 10 minutes in, it's just a countdown until 30 minutes at that point. Games that take away agency for randomness aren't fun. Magic survival (phone game) is a much better version of vampire survivors.

  12. When my brother moved out I lost my only couch coop partner so its been many decades since then but I have wonderful memories of before as a solo only player now. Cheers SwitchUp and I look forward to your next reviews especially for the massive month of October.

  13. My partner and I loved it takes two!! It was our first co-op game together. We took turns with Stray and Chants of sennaar, which were great games, but it was nice to be able to play together.

  14. Do you guys have a list of "loading games"? I had a friend ask about switch games that he can play in short bursts and immediately thought of your loading game recommendations.

  15. Was hoping to see Operation Tango for this, considering its a co-op game, tho its not exactly couch co-op, as it requires atleast 2 consoles to play (being an online co-op game), thats never been as big an issue for switches. I just wanted to see if it was ported decently to switch

  16. Young souls is an awesome coop the Mrs and I enjoy despite her anxiety with real time battle

  17. You managed to miss 3 of my favourite co-op games for the switch.

Tools Up: each level is a home renovation where you have to do things like remove wallpaper, put new carpet down, paint the walls, etc. The chaos from accidentally removing a door or pushing over paint over which you can then trip is great.

Moving Out: feels similar to Tools Up but instead of painting you have to move out all furniture into a truck and make it fit in there. It has some interesting throwing physics and each level has optional objectives. I think both games are great for players who like overcooked.

Conduct together: An absolute masterpiece. You look down on an arrangement of train tracks where up to 4 autonomously driving trains try to move between stations of difderent colours trying to deliver the right colour passenger. A, B, X and Y can be used to pause trains and up, down, left and right are used to control track switches.
As players you try to direct the trains without causing collisions. It sounds simple but it absolutely isn't. This game is absolutely not for everyone, but with the right group of people it is an absolute banger.

  18. salt and sanctuary is my favorite co-op game on the switch and what kills us the most are the falls.

  19. Unravel 2 is a fantastic co-op game for a non-gamer partner. I have a lot of time for these kind of games that make couch co-op gaming accessible.

  20. Some of the favorites with my wife:
    Death road to Canada
    Streets of rogue
    Son of a witch
    Castle crasher

  21. I'd like to recommend Death Squared. It's a puzzle game where you play as little cube AI robots solving increasingly difficult puzzles. You can up to 4 players in couch co-op.

  22. please consider Barony for addition! full on 4-player couch co-op

  23. The new Cult of the Lamb update surely should have made the list, maybe an honorable mention in the pinned comments? I haven't played it in Coop yet but I can nearly guarantee it is stellar

  24. It Takes Two is easily on of my favorite games I have played it with my brother. To anyone thinking about the game highly recommend it, it was so fun the whole time.
